Usually first merch wave coincides with first announcement. Surprised there isn't anything

I am thinking 11:13 or 1:13 (13:13 military time) but total guessing. May also just see single day tickets or nothing at all.

Unrelated they are also selling Rip Ride Rocket Final Tour merch that I think is new today as well.

Yeah - I am in the same boat - I had no plans to go and then they have a rumored Fallout house.
I also bought an AP so I could get room discounts for Epic - so another reason I'll probably do HHN again this year.
Although depending on tickets - I may just do 1 or 2 nights with express and call it a day - but its hard to be there an not go to HHN every possible night.

& again, between the game & the tv show; should be popular. Enjoy the franchise too. Like Jason tho, find when they don’t quite hit it out of the park re the house on one of my particular favorites, it winds up being doubly disappointing.

the whole disappearing VQ was a curve ball. I’m thinking it will take some pressure off them. You very well may be spot on there now that I think of it. Will be interesting to see how it unrolls.

I saw the rates drop back down to where they were a couple of months ago for a couple of properties for the specific fall dates I needed. Was surprised to see RP under $330 avg a night PH rate in September. They had just kept going the wrong way for months. The rates dropped yet again last night. Not sure what is going on there.

I saw the rates drop back down to where they were a couple of months ago for a couple of properties for the specific fall dates I needed. Hopefully we see something similar in October at some point - right now its a lot more than I am willing to spend on a solo trip for an HHN that may well be mediocre again. 165 for dockside is crazy when I gust paid 95 a night. I know its a different time of year and its HHN etc...but I usually pay slightly more than 165 for Skyline view Aventura at HHN so that will be a tough pill to swallow if it does not come back down.

I just checked AP rates for 5/21&5/22
Rates are very excellent & availability everywhere ( Not Helios)

I guess they had too too many previews & guests are cancelling.
I know I would to avoid heat!
I just called yesterday to change my preview ticket purchased last October for June 8 to December 5 and got a small refund

And I posted this on DVC info .com
EPIC Mothers Day .
My son just happened to look late Saturday night for Helios Grand and cheap $468 for Club level standard view.
When we checked in they upgraded us to theme park view !
I have not attended any previews and did book Epic Open Day 5/22
Plus cheap rate when Helios booking opened …

The prices have been surging Up&Down
I hate price surging for everything
Just keep looking

P.s. I am not renewing AP when my pass expires 6/8
USO is not offering extended Passes anymore
Only 12 month 2 park AP currently

They will have something cause everybody uses their Xmas Cash for Disney passes every year since forever.
Universal needs locals as much as Disney ( although Disney also has DVC ))

I know I said this elsewhere - but Universals has been great overall in dealing with tickets and Epic.
Even going back years with HHN they have been great when I had various reasons I had to cancel or change things.
At the end of the day they could have just said all sales are final.
I really don't think Disney would be as cooperative.

Honestly I have not really looked at costs yet. Still trying to decide when to go. I would want it to be late September or Early/Mid October. I just don't know WHEN. Guess I should look at the HHN dates vs holidays. Any suggestions?

I am only going to be doing 3 nights. Arrival, HHN, free day (gonna sit by the pool and visit some other resorts for another trip in the plans), and then leave. So short trip so I can make it during the week which hopefully will help some with the crowds.

Even going back years with HHN they have been great when I had various reasons I had to cancel or change things.

U has been good with changes the few times we’ve needed to adjust things. Really did a good job when the storm last fall impacted our original dates. Can’t say the same about the onsite hotels though.

Our rates nearly doubled a week later as no AP rates to be had at that point. Our choice, we still went. They would’ve let us get a full refund.

A very big tip of hat to them letting for us checkout early & refunding us that same trip (after I wound up getting Covid (again) at the end of the trip).

I would want it to be late September or Early/Mid October.

Have done nearly every week with exception of the last full two weeks of the event.

Best to give the scareactors a few nights to settle into their rolls the beginning of September IMO. We did the 1st and 2nd weeks once and the latter was much more polished & better staffed.

Columbus day & the week prior tends to be a school holiday in parts of the North. Have done it multiple times to accommodate my family’s schedules, it’s seriously busy.

Depending on how many nights & whether you want to include the Saturday using a multi day pass is a consideration too. RoF generally cuts off before the last week of September.

Just emailed my TA for some hotel pricing for Sept 30-Oct 3!!! Also checked flights and they are not that bad. Less than $400 round trip on my preferred airline. This may actually be happening!

BTW, if anyone is going during this time, let me know! I will be solo so more than happy to maybe join you in a house or for a snack. I will be getting express for sure!

Yes, a few times. I find that week to be fairly low crowds (obviously more so on Fri/Sat). The last night is usually a Sun & it's after Halloween so I think you get a lot fewer locals, and people are flying home on Sun so it's less busy for that reason too.

Less merchandise available but good deals on what was left (and better deals the following morning...).

The holiday decorations will be pretty much totally up in Islands by then, too - it's gorgeous.

Generally the weather has gotten reasonable by then too, it might be cool or it might be semi-hot but it's no longer 90+ & humid.
