"Official" 2024 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Nooo. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it I’ll be so sad if it’s that much different. The parade was literally the most magical thing I had seen in 2022

It's very different . To me, it is very noticable and it has decreased my hype levels a little bit as my wife and kids absolutely loved it the way it was. I'm watching the stream ResortTV1 if you want to find it and watch.

Every performance of the Nutcracker I have ever been to has been attended by a large cohort of kids, especially girls. The Nutcracker has also influenced a whole lot of Christmas media since the 80's. My introduction was through the Care Bears.

I probably just phrased it wrong lol. I guess thinking about it, certain songs didn't seem to fit the parade, I feel like the music is more Jollywood than Magic Kingdom parade? The parts with the dance of the Sugar plum fairy felt out of place to me. It felt almost disjointed? There were a lot of pauses of music between the floats as well.

Ugh I hyped it up so much to the family members coming with us I hope they still enjoy it. Maybe since they didn’t see the old one they won’t know what they’re missing

I've been singing the part "it's a marshmallow world in the winter" since we went last November and I've been so hyped about it! It's not terrible, they'll probably love it!! I def recommend watching it to see how you feel!

So if you plan to go to the second parade at 11, do most people just stick around on Main Street after 10pm fireworks?

Last time we went my youngest was only 5, so we didn’t want to risk the 11pm parade (even though he ended up lasting until midnight!), but as a result we did the earlier parade. This go around I would like to plan to hit the later parade and go on rides during the first.

When we went last November, we went to the 2nd parade at main street. We arrived about 20 min early and barely found a spot! So I'm guessing people stick around after the fireworks.

I am very excited to see the reports from the first party tonight. I go on December 1 so it will be great to get some knowledge before I go. I didn't know about the changes to the Halloween party until I was walking into the park for the first party this year and it completely changed how I did the party on the fly and I ended up missing the parade.

Just left first party and wow, we loved it! Was able to eat at Skipper Canteen, see Tiki Birds, Country Bears. Watched the first parade which was awesome. Ate at three of the candy cane stations. Sugar frosted cookies and apple cider and a chocolate peppermint cookie. Hot cocoa was good. Didn’t find the eggnog yet. Rode Tiana and Speedway. Watched the castle show, fireworks and rode Peoplemover. It was an amazing party. Cast did a great job. What a great night!! No lines, crowd virtually non existent.

Awesome to hear, how was the wait time for Tiana? My oldest daughter is beyond excited to ride it!

I’m sorry you’re bummed. As someone who hasn’t seen the parade with the previous music, it still seemed pretty magical in the lives that I watched. Hope that makes you feel better.
