"Official" 2024 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Question please… I found incredibly cheap airfare August 26-29 about 10 days ago ($82 round trip from DC) with the intention of basically flying down for the Halloween party. Unfortunately, we were preparing to leave on our first Disney cruise and was a little overwhelmed. I decided I would throw this Disney trip together when I returned. Sitting here with Covid and to make matters worse, August 27th is sold out for the Halloween Party. Will it stay sold out? I looked on Undercover Tourist and they are still selling tickets. I have tons of Disney gift cards left so I would prefer to buy directly from Disney. Or should I just buy them from Undercover Tourist while they are available. Any suggestions on what to do? I always buy from Disney so I’m nervous.

Just wondering how early you grabbed a parade spot?

Parade 1: We went to Frontierland to watch it. I think we got there 15 mins before the start of the parade (5 mins before headless horseman came out). I wanted to see it at the start so we would have time to do other stuff instead of standing there and waiting. People were quite nice and there was enough room for everyone.

Parade 2: I want to say about 10 mins before the parade started? We did Space Mountain, my ride photo is time stamped 10:51pm. We then wandered over towards the castle for parade 2, so probably got there at 11pm-ish. Got the talk from CMs to not spook the horse, some photographers came by with signs to hold, saw the headless horseman, Powerline Max, then the parade made its way over to us. People were great here too, not too crowded either.

Report back if you were successful- cause I’ve always heard that if it’s Sold Out on the Disney site it’s actually Sold Out on UT as well but you don’t find out til you try and actually book the tickets….

Sorry you are sick and missed out on purchasing tickets but I’m guessing you have also found out that a sold out party on the MK website means it’s sold out at UT also.

UT appears to have tickets but once a guest actually gets to the part where they try to finalize their purchase, the purchase cannot be completed.

We will have day tickets to MK and are purchasing the LLMP. If we redeem our Halloween wristbands at 4, will our LL passes still be valid if we have LL booked between 4-6? Hoping someone who's been to the first party can confirm. TY!

I did see a Vlog from the first night and they were at the train station right before the second parade, too. The other poster said they had seen them there while entering earlier, so perhaps they return there a few times throughout the party? The Vlogger also saw the Hitchhiking Ghosts in Frontierland!

They were in Frontierland next to Country Bears, on the overpass (not sure what its called?) Same place that the Cadaver Dans perform from.

After reading multiple articles, vlog and this thread, I am still unclear about what we should do between 4PM and roughly 6PM. We don’t have regular park tickets or AP.

I know we need to get our bracelet, enter, get our trick-or-treat bags. We have no interest in Jack and Sally meet and greet. We would like to ride Tiana’s Bayou at some point, take a picture with the fab 4 (Mickey later) and maybe Pooh and friends.

So what can we do before 6PM? Eat normal food and available all day Halloween specials? Take normal Photopass pictures and available all day Halloween specials? Other suggestions that are still in the Halloween theme?

And when we go lineup around 6PM, which of our three preferred specials should we prioritize?

Trying to think through ‘real’ food timing - we’d like to try some of the fun party themed food but wondering where to grab dinner before the party gets going.

I read most places close during the party unless they have party/Halloween themed food. Does that sound right?

Our typical plan for a night we attend the party is to chill at the resort all day and eat a bigger table service meal before heading into MK, then just noshing on party snacks later on. We have tickets to the 9/22 party and are eating at Ohana at around 5pm since we have no interest in Jack & Sally and are APs so don't necessarily need the extra park time. I'm kind of second guessing that though after the reports of early lineups for Tron and Tiana. I guess we'll just hit them later in the evening or during the first parade/show, tbh we are not really too ride focused since we'll have had plenty of park time between EEH and another morning at MK prior to that.

Tiana’s doesn’t have a standby queue before the before hence cannot ride it until it opens to party guests (we can lineup unofficially sometime around 6PM). With just the party ticket, VQ and paying pass are not available either.

I realize this isn’t super helpful but if you are really into villains the Oogie Boogie Bash at Disneyland is a much better experience. The villains at the treat trails are lovely; Sid and Madam Mim are my particular favorites.
