"Official" 2018 Disney After Hours (DAH) Thread (Now Closed, see New 2019 Thread)

Has anyone who booked FPs for their DAH night that DID NOT use a regular park ticket for that day had zero problems with FPs being canceled? When I booked mine, everything seemed to work just fine, but after seeing reports of people getting warnings about FPs being canceled as their trip gets nearer, I'm getting pretty paranoid. Can anyone here say they've had it go off without a hitch, or is everyone having this issue?

To be clear, I'm asking about people who have both a DAH ticket a regular park tickets, but aren't using a regular ticket on their DAH day. I am at WDW for 7 days, but only have 6 regular tickets. I am only using my DAH ticket on Day 1. Hope this makes sense!

I can't say for this round, planning for 9/20 but in the past, we've only had DAH tickets and never had an issue booking and keeping those FPs. Also, If your DAH ticket is on the last day of your park days, it's never been an issue. I think most issues are when you have other days after or on your DAH day...Fingers crossed things stay the same this time around

I can't say for this round, planning for 9/20 but in the past, we've only had DAH tickets and never had an issue booking and keeping those FPs. Also, If your DAH ticket is on the last day of your park days, it's never been an issue. Well, my DAH day is my first day. Keeping my fingers crossed. All my FPs are after 7pm, which I'm hoping helps.

We have DAH on 8/4 (already on the list). I'll make sure and report back either way!

Okay I need help. I’m trying to convince dh to go to the July 21 dah. I have July 19 & 20 off work so I thought we could go just for three nights. We are going in October but I really want to do dah again. My problem is I’m not finding much for plane tickets. Am I crazy for considering this short of a trip?

You are not crazy at all! We are doing a 3 night trip so we can go to the DAH on July 21st. We are also going to F&W in October. I like several short trips in a year rather than one long trip, it gives me something to look forward to. However, we are within driving distance—about 9 hours so that may make a difference.

I was able to book my FP 60 days out for 7/21 DAH without a problem, but then I got an email about a week later saying I had booked too many days of FP based on my tickets and would lose the last day's reservations. I called and tried to get an answer about if it was possible to keep them but the person at the call center didn't really have much information. Not sure he even knew what the event was until I explained it to him... Hopefully you have better luck then me!
I am really looking forward to the event and hopefully those missed FP won't even matter since we'll be able to ride everything during the event. We also scheduled dinner at Skipper Canteen on our after hours night since we can get in to MK at 7. Can't wait for that

I’ll have to keep checking. The only nonstop flights I see are with frontier and they land in Orlando at 10:46 pm. I actually was able to get dh on board and excited but I can’t get past paying the plane tickets. I wish we had a closer drive.

I went on the 28th and had no problems whatsoever. I figured we get in around 6:30, so I scheduled one at 5:30, 6:40, and 7:50. That way I would just fit in the first window and be able to immediately ride the second one. I scheduled Jungle Cruise, Pirates, then Big Thunder.

I think the issues is only with people who already having normal tickets trying to schedule a second set of fastpasses.

I should probably go back and clarify my original question. I'm specifically looking for people who have DAH and regular tickets, but don't plan on using a regular ticket on the DAH day. I have 6 regular park tickets and a DAH ticket. I'll be spending my first day at DAH only, then the next 6 days I will use my regular ticket.

I have DAH and 2 day hoppers. I'm not using my hoppers on my DAH day (8/4). I scheduled FPs for 3 days. I got no error messages when booking the FPs. A few weeks later I received an email that my 3rd day would be canceled since I had booked too many days. I called. I was told the system was not reading the DAH tickets as a FP entitlement which it should have. He corrected the "problem". The warning notification on my MDE went away and all of my fastpasses are still there.

Once we get them in the mail, we will be keeping them for a few more weeks before we surprise the kids with them. We've never been, and we didn't find out about this until last night. (I'm not sure what hole our heads were stuck in that we didn't know about this before now! Sheesh!)

My daughter and I are going to the 7/14 DAH...purchased discounted tickets through our dance convention for $107+tax. We are having trouble deciding what is the BEST way to use the time between 6:30 to 10:00 event start time? I saw on a YouTube video that the DAH lanyard acted as a fast pass...so do you really need to book fast passes??

The lanyard acting as a fast pass is not a guarantee- we’ve had mixed experiences with some saying they were let in the fp lane and some not -so I wouldn’t count on it ( I think those trying closer to the dah start time had better luck ) all that said it’s really just a bonus because you won’t need them once the event starts ! It’s hard to imagine or believe how empty it is unless you’ve already experienced it!!

If you don’t get the FPs I would either have dinner or maybe ride attractions that have lower waits
