Has anyone ever done DAH til 1am followed by EMM the next morning or is that just crazy?

That’s crazy lol. We did dah until 12, got to our room at about 1:30, and woke up at 6:30 to get to ak. We all had massive headaches and it honestly kind of ruined our day at ak. We left the park by 3 and were feeling pretty bad. I do not suggest waking up and going somewhere after dah.

Bought tickets for 9/20! Also bought tickets for HEA dessert party for that night Super excited for both events!

We are going on 9/20 also! I actually cancelled the dessert party in favor of doing DAH.

Sounds good! Same for us. We're leaving on the Fantasy that Saturday and usually drive in the day before but added an extra day just to be able to do DAH and see HEA. Will look out for other DAH lanyards in the garden!!!

I’m a night owl too and it still just killed me. We rested all day before dah but it wasn’t enough. If you’re not doing a full park day could you show up at noon instead?

It’s our last day (DME not until 7pm) so as of now we are just planning on enjoying the resort for the day. Was just toying with the idea of adding EMM on, then heading back to the resort for the afternoon, but looks like the date is all booked up anyway!

Well I guess it wasn’t meant to be lol. Honestly dah will give you your fix of mk rides and I don’t know if emm would be worth it.

That’s how we roll, especially in the heat! Late nights-Early EMH—early lunch in a park-long afternoon nap!-repeat

I couldn’t imagine spending a whole day in a park after a late night, though. I’m too old for that!

We don’t take afternoon breaks so that might be why it was so hard for us.

Okay I need help. I’m trying to convince dh to go to the July 21 dah. I have July 19 & 20 off work so I thought we could go just for three nights. We are going in October but I really want to do dah again. My problem is I’m not finding much for plane tickets. Am I crazy for considering this short of a trip?

I just booked a pretty cheap ticket for my son coming back to Chicago in the middle of the next week. I think we went to the same DAH last March, we are going again 7/21, but were already planning to be in Orlando around that date. I am flying in a day earlier than planned for the DAH though. We changed our trip around a bit to fit this in, maybe we will see you there.

We looked at Chicago but it’s about a 4 hr drive for us. The plane tickets I’m seeing are around $530 for two people with no bags and the departing flight isn’t nonstop.

For a short trip I wouldn't book anything with but nonstop, just too much to go wrong. I am all for short trips if you can pull it off, but that seems pretty high for tickets. I booked my sons flight with points, but I think it was only 109 and since southwest no bag charges. He decided that he wants to fly back with me instead of driving back with the rest of the family.

Good points. I guess we just won’t go lol. We got really excited at the idea of doing dah again but it’s not as exciting with bad plane tickets. I’ve been so jealous of everyone’s reports lately!

FYI -- today is 30 days from August 4th. I was able to book FP for that date using account with ONLY the DAH ticket at 705(Space), 805(Splash), 905pm (7D). I could have picked earlier times, but we have a dinner reservation and won't get there earlier. I'm not sure why but I did have to try about 5 times, log out and then back in, before it stopped giving me the "you don't have a ticket" rejection.


One thing I noticed was that 7D was offering a 10pm FP which I found strange since the park closes at 10pm. Is it possible that the park hours change and then the event hours would change? (I did check the hours for Aug 4 which are listed as 10pm closing, event 10pm-1am)
