Official 2017 Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend!

I do have a question, since I'm totally new to this: I didn't order a pin or anything else today, and then I closed my browser. Is there any way to order stuff later on? Or am I completel SOL?
If you log into Active and go to My Events, there's an option called Purchase Additional Merchandise where you can buy pins and whatnot. They will close it eventually though.

After 20 mins on hold at lunchtime I reserved a room for Fri and Sat at PP. It's so expensive, but this is a splurge trip for us.

just registered for my first Tinkerbell 5K with both my girls! I can't wait! First runDisney (heck, first 5K), but my girls really wanted to do & I figure I've got some really good motivation (& 8 months) to get my butt into super gear! :)

You will have a great time .

Whew got my 15 yo dd registered for the PDC. It will be her first challenge. She ran the Tink 1/2 last year and is set to run the DL Star Wars 1/2 and WDW Princess 1/2. She figured after this year she'd be too busy to go for the coast to coast medal, lol.

What's the status of the early reg? What's sold out? 10k? Should give us an idea of next week. If things aren't sold out, then it shouldn't be that bad next week. Thanks in advance

The online link for booking rooms just showed up. $349 Paradise Pier, $421 DL Hotel, $497 GC. Ugh.

Kid's races are sold out, but nothing else. Nothing on hold either.

There's no way I'm paying that right now. I'm definitely holding off.

I just pulled up my invoices from earlier this year - I booked the Paradise Pier Hotel via RunDisney at the end of March and paid $274/night for Thursday-Sunday. I booked Wednesday night with an AP special rate in April for $249/night.

I booked Paradise Pier for Friday-Monday night for cheaper than that this year for DLH Weekend ($309/$330 night) - and that was over a legit, no-work long weekend with the ending of the 60th festivities - about a month before race weekend no problem.

I'm in for the half with my deferral link. I also decided to get the half pin, I really didn't like last years, but since I don't think I will be at the expo till saturday I didn't want to chance it.

I checked rates at DLH (I just stayed there in March and loved it) and it was $425/night. Uhhhh No. I guess I'm staying off site!

Can you guys confirm this for me? When I want to register on the 20th (since I'm not an AP holder), do I go to Active.com, or runDisney?

runDisney will post links that take you to Active.com. The race is searchable there as well.

Make sure you have your Active.com account ready to go. :)

If you're concerned, you can go ahead and secure your bib via a Travel Provider. They're not requiring anything extra - like park tickets. I know Acclaim, Magical Miles and Get Sports all have bibs on offer right now.

If I book with a travel provider, do I need to use them for hotel accommodations? I kinda like doing my own planning since I'm a psycho control freak, and plan EVERYTHING.

I'm baffled over this "nothing but the kid races sold out" thing going on for AP/DVC early reg. I had zero need to be as efficient as I was with multiple browsers and accounts logged in at the same time, lol!

It will be very interesting to see how general reg goes next week.

Nope - last year, they required a one day, one park ticket to purchase a bib. This year? Nada. Just the bib. And the total should include taxes and fees that Active.com charges. Easy peasy!

Judging by nothing being sold out but the kids races.. I think general registration will be no problem. 10k might sell out within the hour along with kids races but looks like everything else won't sell out right away.

So, You're like... AMAZING. I just paid for the package with Magical Miles. Thank You so much Keels!

You're welcome! My girl gang used Magical Miles last year for Tink and everything was perfect.

Now it's time for the fun part - the training! :D
