Just pre-ordered the cross body in blue! I'll admit, I wavered and nearly ordered the white, but considering the use (summer markets, theme parks), it seems a safer bet to get the darker color so I can attempt to keep it clean.

I may get more use out of the wristlet though just becasue I can put it inside more "adult" looking purses and my work laptop case. But I wish the wristlet called out the half marathon like the bigger bags do. Hrmmmmmmmmm

Anyone have a representation of how big the crossbody is in comparison to a human?

I've been selling mine...at one point I just had way too many. I probably still have too many purses by others' standards.

No such thing. At least that's what I tell myself whenever I walk into my closet. Probably a down payment on a house in there!

Last year the wristlet DID have the hangtag on it...I would be surprised if it didn't this year. Then again, it's not in the picture, sooo...

I think they'll sell out. I remember the Tote sold out first last year after (I think) the first day.

Tink is popular and if the race tag wasn't there, you wouldn't know it was a race bag...and they seem to only make Tink bags for these races. So this bag is very appealing to a lot of non-runners.

The people in the purse Facebook groups have "shoppers" that go to these expos and pick up bags for people...and then there are the eBay-ers. Personally if I REALLY wanted one of these, I would pre-order to make sure one was put aside for me, unless I could get to the expo first thing.

Also - MAN is that crossbody pricey!

I'm pretty sure it's a zip-top closure. And if it's the model I think it is, it will also have a zipper pocket on the back:


I have done the return and re-buy - IF they let you do this (and I have heard they don't anymore but I'm not totally sure), you don't get the Active.com fees back. Just an FYI.

It's going to be my Mother's Day present. DH was sold and said to buy it when I mentioned he and our Mouseketeer would not have to hit the mall to do Mother's Day shopping, that we just pick it up at the expo.

I'm stuck between the zip wallet and the crossbody. I have several of those wallets from other RunDisney events, usually because it's the least expensive one to buy.

I really do like the crossbody, I just can't figure out the size on it, and for the price might as well get the tote!!

Decisions, decisions.

I still have to actually register for the race too!!

I was trying so hard to wait until after Princess to register for this. But since the released the Dooney's and I know they sell out, I registered for the PDC and ordered a Dooney. That pink medal plus the 10th anniversary Coast to Coast is mine, even if I have to crawl over the finish line and eat rice for the next few months.

Non-purse question (sorry, I know it's not as fun!!!)

I'm looking into trying and testing certain fueling things during any of my 9+ mile long-runs coming up pre-Tink (this is my first half race so taking any gels or gu is new territory for me)
I was thinking of trying e-gel because others on the board like them. But I also see that they have Clif shots at mile 8.5 usually in DL. So I figured may as well try those out too.
Anyone have any rec. flavors or ones to totally stay away from? Hoping to try something they have at the races way before I get there. I'll probably hit up a runner store or amazon this week to get just a few things.
