Wow. The easiest rundisney reg ever. No que and no lag from the servers being overloaded. 10k and kids race on hold. Kids races are going faster than 10k and 5k these days

My sister and I are officially registered! I haven't been to Disneyland in over ten years. Very excited! We are going to fly in Friday night from the East Coast and leave Monday morning. I think I'd like to stay at one of the Disney properties but we'll see. Open to any suggestions and recommendations. Need to do some research!

I got my DS registered for 10K! I'm in for the Rebel Challenge.

10k and kids dashes went on hold about 8 minutes in. 5k just went on hold 21 minutes, then back off hold in, but went back on hold 25 minutes in. Star wars seems to still have the popularity over other races at disneyland.

For those that are still trying to get in, i would keep refreshing. There were two occasions 40 minutes in where i hit refresh and the 10k and kids race went off hold

Did Disney forget to tell people about this registration? I'm looking at the page and 30 mins in... smooth, fast, and easy. Nothing is sold out yet. So if you're delayed and haven't done it yet-- go go go!

I hope this mojo continues for Princess. I am so scared for that one.

Also, does anyone know what the Tervis Tumbler or ornament look like? I feel like I got suckered into buying them in my excitement.

I say they're expensive every time, but I just keep registering! I was only going to do the half this time around and my running buddy talked me in to the challenge...again!

I cannot bring myself though to preorder anything I can't see. I just can't do it. I guess I don't like surprises.

You're doing the Half exclusively? Remember you have to hit the expo to get your bibs!

I got in for Rebel Challenge no issues. My running buddy got in too no issues! I had a bit of panic getting my DS into 10K, but it re-opened and he's in too! His first Disney race and trip to DL!

I'm in for the 5K and the 10K, and DH is in for the Rebel Challenge. Wavered about the 5K, but went ahead and did it (and then remembered to change the hotel reservation to add Thursday night). It'll be fun!

Currently only the 10K is on Hold, and the kids races are SOLD OUT...
I thought the Star Wars Light side would 1/2 would be soldout by now

Something definitely going on with the West Coast races if even Star Wars doesn't sell out. As long as it keeps driving the prices down, I'm all for it.

I am registered for the half marathon! So excited It will be my first half marathon and first runDisney event and first "more-than-a-day" trip to Disneyland! Now I need to get really serious about my training (and costume!)

So very tempted to sign-up, but since I'm hoping to schedule donation surgery during that period...it's seems ill-advised to give in just because registration is still open.

2:15 into registration... the 10K and the Kids races are the first to sell out.

First time registering for a race. DH & I are both in for the 10K. I was shaking the entire time. I can see how other people said it was easy as we didn't hit any snags during the registration process. But because I didn't know what to expect, it was definitely nerve wracking!

Now onto hotel reservations. Does anyone know if / when Disney will release rates for their on-site hotels? I checked the box that asked if they could contact me for hotel info.

I don't think there's a lot of chatter on FB, but there have been a bunch of messages throughout the morning.

I would have loved to sign up to get the Kessel medal as I'll be doing Darkside, but alas had to just choose one and WDW is my favorite. Facebook groups, lots just saying they got in. I have a few local friends who signed up, they've each done one other RunDisney race at WDW, but this is their first Disneyland one. Since both parks now have 4 races each, including a Star Wars each, people have to pick and choose. I think it's good it doesn't go crazy fast as then late comers can still get a race.

I am not a big Star Wars fan, but since there seems to be little interest this year, I'm in for the Rebel Challenge. It's a local race for me and I might as well get my Coast to Coast medal sooner rather than later. I might even consider doing the Dark Side Challenge.
