Talked to my TA, no double dipping on the Savory Summer Offer and Canadian Ticket discount. I could switch to the Canadian Ticket with the room but it only saves about $200 US. Not worth it with 2 adult CS meals each night for 10 nights.

The prices I posted for the Summer Discount on rooms are wrong, that was before adding in the cost of the tickets. Not sure how that happened but it makes it much more than what I already have booked. So I'm sticking with the Savory Summer Offer until FD is released. Also will be checking how much it is since room and park ticket prices have increased since booking. I can upgrade my SS offer to QSDP for just over $605 US. So FD might not be the best deal for me.
Are you talking about a pin or the summer offer on the WDW site right now? I know someone posted awhile ago that they were able to use the summer offer and the Canadian ticket discount. I just priced out a fake reservation under the summer offer and on the page where you can add tickets it gave me the option of regular or Canadian discount tickets. I chose the Canadian tickets and it led me to the checkout screen. If this is the Summer deal you are talking about, try pricing a vacation yourself on the WDW site and then call your TA!:)

Wow this thread jumped a lot today! I always get excited when I see this, it means it's getting closer to FD! I guess I have some catching up to do when the kiddos are in bed!:)

Which hotel could possibly be easier to snag for FD im hoping for all star sports but could do POP or even all star music. Anyone have experience in sports vs POP.
I've had luck with both really. Pop has more rooms but I think people choose it more. It's popular. I think All Star Sports should be a good first choice if that is what you want.

Thanks! I'm just really paranoid that sports will be booked full & I try to book there & while I'm trying to get sports the last rooms at pop will be getting booked. All this waiting is giving me too much time to think of the what ifs...

Well, just think of it this way. You're following this thread so you'll know about FD from a little before and the day it's going to drop. If you are stalking it like most on here, you've got a great chance as most people aren't going to know about the deal that early. If you are flexible on the value resort you are ok with, I think you'll do good if your dates are good for the FD deal. Sounds like you already are good to go on your first, and second picks, so that's real good. I think flexibility is key. :goodvibes

Just from my time on the DIS I think POP is a lot more popular that ASSp. What time are you going?

Will anybody be adding the Memory Maker once dates are set?
Once I hopefully get my fd I will but not before. I know there was an issue last year if you had mm on your reservation you could not modify it online had to call.

I have it on my ressie and the change button is currently there but who knows. I'm most likely making a second free dining ressie and then will cancel the other one.

This is off topic, but I'm thinking of upgrading to deluxe dining. I have a six year old how does that work with his credits are they 7adult credits and 7 kid credit or 14 credits? I just used 7 as an example. I guess I'm just asking if they are together or separate. I'm confused with deluxe.

Do you know offhand when you modify your reservation will it let you change the dates to align with FD?

I've stayed at both and you can't go wrong at either. I personally felt sports was a little smaller and quieter but I was also there in September. I stayed at pop 2x in August. At pop I stayed in a standard room in the 50s and it was close to everything. Sports I stayed standard touchdown and it was also very close to everything. (I always request and have been lucky getting my requests) I have heard that sports can get rowdy when school sports teams stay there. On the occasion that sports shares busses (only had this happen for Disney springs) sports in the first on and off which is nice!

Maybe was just a glitch that they fixed since last year. But yeah you can always just make a new reservation so not a huge deal either way.

You do have to be careful about the age listed for your children on MDE. Every time I book trips it never updates my kids ages. So when we booked TS dining, my 11 year old at the time, was only going to get children's meals. I caught the mistake before we arrived, but I would double check.
I had to do that last year too...my 3 year old was still coming up as 2 and I wanted to get all his "free meals" since I was paying for his tickets!

I haven't added memory maker yet to our trip, but will add probably after our FPs. I hold off just in case something happens and have to cancel.
I always add memory maker exactly 4 days before the trip. Since it's non refundable I refuse to give the mouse my money until I absolutely have to! I do this when I pay for the trip too!

Sorry, no I don't. I have always waited to book online when FD dropped or called to modify (this was before you could modify yourself and FP+ MDE etc)

In 2014 I got a standard sports free dining no problem for September! I didn't even know about the dis and all this at the time I just called at 7am and was like I heard there was free dining today! Haha

While I know that you normally cannot make any modifications to a reservation made by a travel agent, surely Disney has some kind of contingency in place for extenuating circumstances, don't they? What if a TA just goes MIA? What if they just go out of business before your trip date? What if they just drop dead? I would hate to think that if you book through a TA and then something happens you are just out that money.

If a Travel Agent goes out of business, they wouldn't have the certifications to sell travel. I'm sure if this happens, speaking to Disney would be your best approach.
I have never gone MIA so I cannot attest to that (believe it or not, people Booking go MIA and lose their reservations, it's so sad). I'm just making an educated guess here but if you've given the TA time to respond and have tried doing everything you can(including contacting the main agency if they are a part of one), then contacting Disney would be your only choice.
I know that if you've only paid the deposit and not the full amount (for a package) and it goes past the PIF date, the reservation cancels on its own.
