Im confused:I already booked under MDE for POR and already have DP added. When FD promo drops what do I do?? Do I need to call or is it automatically applied? Or do I click on modify although I dont need to modify the resort since im booked there already? ?
You have to add it.

This happened to us about 5 years ago. Through our attorney, we threatened to sue our school if they bothered us again about this matter. They stopped.

We have taken our boys out of school for vacation every year of their lives. My oldest is now 20 and in college. My youngest is now a Junior in HS. They both get awesome grades, take AP classes, score very well on the SATs, etc.

They are my kids, not the state's. I decide how to best educate them, and having a well-rounded life is a part of that education. What a student learns outside of the classroom is so much more important than what is learned in the classroom. Most teachers get it. It seems to only be school administrators who don't get it, and it is probably about $$$, not the kids.
Absolutely! The problem is when someone can't afford an atty. the less able get discriminated against. :offtopic: Sorry for being off topic. This just makes me so angry.

You got it right, it is about the $$$. My youngest is special needs and is in special classroom with 8 other children ranging from kindergarten to 2nd grade. She missed OT, PT, SLP, MT and VT all of these teachers said she came home from Disney with more progress then they seen. They laughed and said we should take her back.

That will be my excuse this year...:rolleyes1

Unfortunately, as with most things, people take advantage of it & ruin it for others, and it gets to the point where something has to be done.

So curious if this is correct. Just because everyone else is commenting on it. I booked online myself and have a modify/change button.
Yes that does seem to be the case and also once you make one change it seems as if all additional changes need to be made by calling

I truely believe the best option if you can afford to place a second deposit down is to just book a new reservation and then cancel the old one rather than trying to change or "modify" the existing reservation you have.
Reason being is if there is a glitch during checkout when trying to modify and it says you need to call you will most likely lose the FD package your trying to book as I believe an item is only held in your cart for 10 minutes.
Recently I was attempting to change my resort and encountered this problem so I called and the hold time was 40 minutes rather than wait and lose the room I wanted I hung up and booked a new reservation then called and cancelled the original reservation.
My refunded deposit for the cancelled reservation showed up in my account within 5 days.

Hi Kimy!! So thankful that our schools are great about it too! I've used my personal days the past 3 years for Disney!

I was happy to see you back on this thread again this year. What week are you shooting for? Week after turkey day again?

This has been my theory since I made a change and my button disappeared, but then yesterday my change button showed back up out of the blue. :confused3

Nope. Made my reservation online. Never made any changes after initial booking. Had no "change" button.

Yesterday, the change button appeared. But when I click on it, it just cycles back to my confirmation page. No ability to actually change anything.

As someone mentioned, when the time comes, I'm just making a new reservation and not taking a chance on playing with this at all!

What is the refund policy? I have my trip almost paid off. We are staying at CBR with the $75 incentive. I plan on booking with FD at a MOD, if available. Of course I'd like to get the GC and FD, but not sure that it will work out that way. I'd rather a resort with FD. So when FD comes, I want to go online and get that booked. If I cancel my old ressie, will I get a full refund?

If it's before the cancel date then you will. Last year I had 2 reservations and I had paid a considerable amount on the one that I wanted to cancel. So o called and asked if they could transfer my payments from one reservation to the other. They had to put on a request and a few days later my payments were transferred.

It depends how far out your trip is. I canceled my September bounceback and got it all back on a gift card since I paid on a gift card. I know that you can lose $200 but that is closer in, and then you can lose the whole thing when you are really close to check in.

I booked last year through a representative and when I went in to modify it I didn't have a modified button so I called Disney and the representative told me that anytime that you book through a Disney representative or through a TA you will not have the modified button. I also saw on the free dining thread from last year that if you do not book on line then you won't have a modified button and through my own experience last year I found out that it is true so I ended up canceling my reservation last year and re-booking online and I had my modified button. Right now Disney is doing updates so if you did book online sometimes you have the modified button sometimes you don't on my reservation one time I'll check it's there one time it's not but once they get everything set the new modify button should be there.

I have some questions about free dining and getting an AP. We, just my DD 14 and I, are going for a two week trip Dec 14 - 28. We have never been at Christmas and want to soak up as much atmosphere as we can. Free dining would be a huge cost saver for us. I plan on buying annual passes so we have park access every day and an excuse to go next summer and possibly Halloween. I want to have the AP at lest 60 days prior so we can make FP choices. If I book the required tickets and have the AP, can I remove the tickets once I arrive and keep them for another trip or will that void the dining? Will my AP work for fastpass selection for the entire 14 days even with the other tickets on my MDE? Can I remove the tickets at the same time as activating the AP?

I've been paying into the online disney vacation account instead of paying on my res, in case I had to change it I figured that would be easier. It's mostly paid off, but it's in this disney savings account. Can I use that account to put down my deposit instead of a cc? I've

I think you can put the cost of the tickets you have to buy for the FD package towards the AP

I booked online but room only. My change feature wasn't working. I called in and converted the whole thing over to what I think that I will need. That CM said that when it drops that I would then modify the dining portion from the fee choice to the free choice. I also had to open a ticket in IT since I couldn't make changes. Now oddly enough there was an extra letter in the title of my package. After IT changed it and did whatever they do, I can now make changes.

I booked via Disney Rep on the phone and I have a "change" button

I booked online, and then transferred my resi to a TA after the fact. I still have a "change" button. Not sure that this helps anyone, but figured I'd put my experience out there.
