I'm sorry if this has already been posted, but I called to confirm I wouldn't lose my $75/night gift card for our CBR stay if I was able to get free dining there. I was told I definitely wouldn't, because it's not considered a promotional offer. So I'm REALLY hoping I can score FD on top of the gift card offer.

I know it changes yearly, but are standard rooms at CBR typically eligible for FD? I'm wondering if I should change our room to a pool view in anticipation of it being offered or if I should wait and see.

I'm also kicking myself for booking a split stay. We check in on 11/26, so we'd get FD per the rumors. But, we're checking out on 11/30 and switching to CSR that day, leaving on 12/3, so that last portion of our stay isn't eligible since FD doesn't start up until Dec. Even getting FD for 4 out of 6 park days would be pretty great, and now I'm wondering if I could get a room-only discount for the second portion of our trip, which might also help us save. I feel like planning this trip is like a choose your own adventure book. So many possible paths and it's making me nuts.

See posts above yours about standard cbr

Getting so nervous!! Currently booked at pofq nov 7-16 with ddp and base tix. Should I upgrade to park hopper now? I tried and was getting the page reloaded online.

Want to keep ddp (we love character meals with my dd5 and dd8). Wondering if we should change to old key west deluxe studio if we would get free ddp or stay at pofq abd hope for ro discount....

I've never booked or made changes online, always call. But wondering if I should get up earlier to do online (7am is a rough time in our house getting girls ready for school)

I wonder if Disney knows people will likely not book at a moderate if only QS is offered.Maybe they want people to NoT book a moderate since many are at full capacity anyways. What would end up happening is they overbooked at a moderate if some guests actually stay there and just upgrade to QS.If they overbooked me and no other mods or values were available when I check in they have to upgrade me to Deluxe! Wishful thinking I recall someone posted earlier this happened to her at Pop and they moved her to AKL
Yeah but will you still be stuck with QS also or will they bump you to the standard plan?

We like to save money. We like a deal. My DH is so cute feeling like the food is "free." We understand that you pay more for the room and that you have to get park hopper, but he loves free food. We both also like to plan because we don't like standing in lines. Staying 10 days with 30 FP, rope drop and good amount of planning, we never stay in a line longer than 15 minutes. That is not only what we enjoy, but we enjoy preparing and doing Disney better than other people. So many people say you can't do everything you want while you are at WDW... but we usually do and do what we really like multiple times. We like pin trading and collecting cards, this year I think we will start with the penny press.
We enjoy collecting coins at Disney. Space Mtn. has dime and penny machines and there are quarter machines around the resorts and parks too. We use M&M tubes to put our money in stacking the coins in order (2 quarters and a penny) that way you're ready when you get to the machine. :)

Page 501. Guess we got our answer. They'll keep this one going but I'm sure open a new thread this weekend before the offer actually drops.

Kind of off topic....but we're all here for the food right?!?! Has anyone eaten at T-Rex? Yay or nay? My boys are 4 (next week:bday:) and 5.5. It's not too scary is it? Also, they never seem to have availability online but I've heard if you call the restaurant directly they have lots of tables. Any truth to that?
In late summer 2014 (I think that was the year, whichever one it was with the ice rink at HS), we ate there on a Saturday afternoon and got a table with not long of a wait. I thought the place was very cool and I suppose a kid could get maybe a little scared by something in there, but more like a fun scared if so. We used table service credits for the meal. If I had a 5 year old boy we would be back for sure.

In our case, we are most likely going to book a moderate anyway and upgrade to regular DDP. Now that we are a family of 5 (1 under age 3) the value rooms are really tight. Also, since we are going Christmas week, any RO will not cover our entire stay.

I highly doubt pofq will be included in the free dining offer or room only discount.

My wife forgot a bag of Quarters and our already pressed pennies on top of one of the penny presses at Big Top Souvenirs a few years ago more than $50 worth of quarters still in it! We strolled all the way down to Liberty Square before we had realized it, went back they were gone nobody seen or new anything, a few days later we had a call saying someone turned them in, how nice, and we are very thankful they did, so years later if I knew who it was a Big Thanks to you!!! The kids had lots of fun doing that and we were sad and thought they were gone.

Wow! 500 we are at 500 pages. That's crazy but cool

Alright, I have caught up now.

We considered off-site resorts for about 2 hours this afternoon but then we did the math and said Naa. :hyper2:
Things to consider about off site.
1. No magical express. Let me tell you my DH said Nope, that just ended the talk. Lol found out it would be about 50 each way from the airport to Disney springs with an uber.
2. The bags being delivered to our room even if this is magical express. This was also something that my DH had liked about staying on site.
3. No magic hours.

We did then go back to one of the two or three ideas we have now. None include off-site.pixiedust::bday: to me ON site!
I really don't understand how off-site saves money. After taking into account the $20/day parking at the parks, the $20-30/night resort fee and $15-20/night self parking fee it comes out way more expensive than on property. We have been driving down to FL for the last two trips and it's so much more convenient than flying so we'll be doing that this time too.

My DH was in DL on the Matterhorn. We went to the hotel to rest and realized his phone was gone. He ran back to the park looking for it. Found it thanks to a helpful CM. It was sure scary.

So I also just called the tech support number because I lost my modify button about a month ago. I did have it, I also did book my own reservation. They informed me that my reservation isn't eligible to be modified online and they could not fix it. She couldn't tell me why it wasn't eligible but that it just wasn't

Off-site can save money for some people. It was brought up and we did the math. It doesn't work for us but when you look at the bigger rooms and space near twice what a value room has. It was worth a look but I don't think it works for us this time.

That's odd.

If I were in this situation I'd get up and try and book on my own even if my TA was going to try. What if the TA has multiple clients and needs to modify them all. By the time they get to you all the rooms could be gone. This is why I'd book on my own all the time vs using a TA. Unless I was getting some great perk to use the TA.

This. The TA I've used in the past- I really like her and when I first started using her I think she was just starting out. But over the years she's built up a huge clientele and let's be real- she's gonna make more money off someone booking a deluxe than me who wants a value. I just booked on my own this time.

Is it a bounce back?
