I don't know what's going on with my TA. I booked with her in September, haven't heard from her once since. I told her when I booked I wanted to try for FD. I emailed her in December about a question I had, got no response. I emailed her last friday about her trying to get me FD, still no response. I have a very expensive package booked through her and I feel like I deserve a response. She told me when I booked that I wouldn't be able to get FD because availability is so limited, and also that she won't book any offers until her work day starts at 7:30. I almost feel like she's avoiding me so she doesn't have to try for FD. So, obviously I'm going to try to get FD for myself since I can't rely on her. My question is, if I cancel my trip through her, can I cancel and get my deposit back from Disney or does it have to be through her? I'm afraid I won't be able to get ahold of her to get my deposit back. Sorry about the long post!

:offtopic: (Again, sorry)

I've always wanted to be able to watch the band and all the fun that seems to be happening in Biergarten. I can barely get my family to go near it though. They don't even like the smell, no way I could get them to eat there. Is there any way I could go in, get a soda and watch the band for a bit?

We are going to try it this year. The food on the menu doesn't look that exotic so I hope it isn't. Lol. I don't really care for sausages.

This must be so frustrating!! Do you have a main number you can call. I would be the squeakiest wheel she has ever heard at this point.

This definitely does not sound like a TA that I would want handling my reservation. Since you have not received any responses from her after a few emails, and she specifically stated that she would not even attempt to modify your reservation until 7:30 am, I would definitely cancel and use another TA who will actually work for and with you, or just book yourself. You will not be able to make any modifications to the reservation yourself since she booked it for you. Using a TA should make your life easier and less stressful, not causing you more stress and worry over your vacation. just my 2 cents

I have her direct number, which I called and left a message on. My next message is going to be to cancel my trip. I've just decided that she obviously doesn't care about me or my vacation, so she doesn't need to make money off of my trip. It actually works out better that way, because I really want to plan everything myself. I don't know why I booked with a TA in the first place, I'm planning obsessed! So, part of me is glad that she gave me a reason to cancel with her, though I never would have if she was doing her job.

Hi everyone! I've been lurking in this thread for a few weeks and decided to go ahead and create an account so I can join ya'll in the fun! I've been to WDW once in 2015, mid Sept with the FD. Last trip my SO (DH? I'm not sure what the terminology means, not married though :p) planned every single thing and I just got to pay my half and show up to the magic. This year, he wants a break (He's also booked/planned our last 3 trips to Universal) so I'm handling it all. I'm hoping for a early to mid Sept trip, with one of the days being an MNSSHP day. I've done HHN at Universal a couple of times and want to try something new. I'm literally about to start pulling my hair out if FD doesn't drop soon. Money is tight so this would be a big help. I'm just ready to start finalizing dinners, flights, MNSSHP etc...:yay:

WELCOME!! :smickey:

Wow!!! This scared me a little reading this, not to long ago a woman was busted for a fraudulent agency supposedly setting up vacations and not. Robbing people out of hundreds of thousands of dollars, I sure hope this isn't the case for you or anyone but yes you absolutely deserve a response and better service than what you seem to be getting, best of luck. If all else fails yes I would surely book a package myself if you see something you want.

I didn't even think about that! I hope thats not the case...I only gave her the $200 deposit and it was via giftcard...I'm glad I've been paying into the disney vacation acct and not her.

While I certainly agree with you canceling your trip with THIS particular TA, I wouldn't let this deter you from using a (good) TA in the future. Even the most experienced Disney veteran can benefit from using a TA. I plan on finally being able to take my family of 8 this year as my 4 youngest kids have never been to WDW (10 nights, 8 ppl- $4,000 savings if we can get FD), so I am not the most veteran recent traveler, but My BFF has gone every year at Thanksgiving the past 10 years, and sometimes at spring break time too. She is an obsessive planner, and the last 3 years, she has used a TA and found that it made the process even easier for her than booking on her own. She likes to pay with gift cards (to save on gas at her grocery store), and when it comes to paying her balance, she just sends pictures of her gift cards to her TA and the TA will have them all applied for her, and she doesn't have to worry about it. She knows that if a promo comes out, and her package qualifies, her TA will take care of it, and she doesn't have to worry about being on hold for hours to make changes. Also, most of the time when you use a TA, you are supporting a small business and helping someone support their family. It is kind of like buying from a Farmer's Market instead of big chain grocery stores. She still does all her own planning, ADRs, FP+, etc, but knows her TA is still there if she needs anything.

Do you still have that gift card? The money would be credited back to the form of payment used.

Slightly off topic but it is food related. I booked the Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace. Thoughts? Good? Bad? Great view? Save your money? :scratchin I might also mention if I can snag reservations for the Star Wars Dessert Party at DHS I'm definitely doing that one and dropping this one. This is more of a backup in case I can't get that and/or some darn BOG reservations. I thought this might be neat but I really don't know much about it.
We did the tommorrowland terrace party in 2014. I loved it, except for the fact that about 30 min before fireworks started everyone packs in against the railings so it created the same issues it does on main street and other areas. I have seen though on some vlogs that it looks like they are now putting tables up close to the railings. We totally want to try the star wars party this year!

Best sales pitch I've heard. They should use you to market them!!

I did the pirate wishes cruise before and it was nice, but you miss a lot of the lower effects. I know ya'll are talking about the dessert party, but it made me think of this.

Hello! Near November 2016, we booked a package (hotel+tickets+regular DP, check in Sept 4th 2017), so if the free dining plan shows up on my dates, do you know if can I modify it online or necessarily I have to call?
If FD is offered, and we are staying at POP, we would like to upgrade from QS to regular DP.

First time doing this FD thing, shall I call to apply the discount (if any, of course) or can it be done online?
