Thanks! In my head they were Deluxe! Still a bit less than AoA per night and $150 less then CR and we wouldn't have to upgrade the DP if we get FD!

Did the room only reservation for last fall include POFQ

The Annual Passholder one did, I didn't make a note about the general public one.

General Public one was released 4/25/16, exp 8/31/16 for dates that included 8/1/16-11/5/16 - 20-30% off.
AP one was released 6/20/16, exp 11/4, for same dates - 25- 35% off.

Hi, joining in. We're planning to go from Dec 16-23 and am wanting free dining. We booked through a TA in January and locked in the old rates for tickets and dining plan originally at Pop but with the gift card offer we moved it to CBR. However, she has said she gets up at 6am and according to what this thread is saying free dining will open up at 4am. So should I get up at 4 am and try to book it myself and if I do can it then be transferred to her to still have the locked in ticket rate and gift card offer on CBR? I'm so worried! I got a TA so I wouldn't have to worry about it but she is saying there will be less rooms for the FD this year due to all the construction so it isn't a guarantee. I have a hard time leaving it to someone else, I'm worried she won't get it as fast as I could. Any thoughts?

Maybe they just say that, so that you won't be disappointed if they don't, but you'll think they're amazing if they do.

Can you modify your own reservation online if you've book with a travel agent? We're in the same boat, and I don't see a modify button anywhere on the website or the app. I figured it was because she made the reservation for us.

Are you only going if you get FD? If you are going either way and FQ is your preference I would keep that. If you're not going without FD it really doesn't matter because neither reservation would help you get FD any easier.

Coronado Springs doesn't do FD, either?

And I'm not sure what you mean by getting FD any easier? I'm looking to take advantage of it if it shows up...just like everyone here, I think?

Maybe, never thought about it that way! Either way, I'm gonna try myself to get the FD. I got a TA because I thought they might have a better shot at getting the FD, but it sounds like that's not the case. If I get the FD, I'll transfer the res to the TA.

You can't modify it, only the TA can make changes, they own the res until you check in apparently.

Yeah, I'm regretting the whole TA thing now! My husband talked me into it...why do I ever listen to him? I hate giving up control, especially to someone I don't even know. But now I feel like I have to stay with her so she can get the commission.

Anyone can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I am almost positive I am not. We have used TA's and booked ourselves. If a TA books your reservation, only they can modify it. They "own" your reservation. It is the reason why we don't use TA's anymore. We like to have the flexibility to make changes on our own.

Last year there was a second set of free dining / room only discounts released I think a few weeks after the initial round. We were able to get a room discount for POFQ with the second round, but only for 2 of the 3 rooms my family had booked.

If I'm taking advantage of the Canadian discounted tickets (9days). If/When free dining drops will I not be able to add on my tickets because it's already discounted? Would I have to do the minimum days required for free dining then just add 5 days at the cdn price?

IF FD is released then you would not be able to get it with the CDN promo, you have to book a package with park hopper tickets. I would save the tickets for a later date since they don't expire or you can get a room discount. I have a feeling with the CDN discount and room discount it would be a better deal then FD anyways.

I've never had any problems with my TA, and while I COULD do my own (and I'm about as anal as they get when it comes to doing my own planning), I like using the TA as she has more options with the Dis Resv folks. She can hang on hold for hours rather than me, and she can do several changes at a time. So far, I've always gotten exactly what I wanted using her, unless those things were not available to begin with...such as availability for certain discounts. She has always gotten back to me right away with any changes I want for my trip, and is more than happy to fully answer any questions I ask.

I don't know what I would have done if it wasn't available for the dinner we wanted. It was our only must do table service restaurant and I only needed two ADRs. Our other MK day is a party night so it would uave thrown a huge wrench in the plans.

Were you able to get BOG when you wanted it?

Why would you stay with her so she can get the commission? I also booked with a TA and I told her that I am also trying for FD. She knows this and that if I get it and she doesn't I will cancel her reservation. Something tells me that we are putting more work into our trips then they are. I just booked with a TA so I have someone else trying for me too.

We are booked at All Star Sports with dining, not free dining, yet. I have a modify button on MDE. My plan is to be up at 4am to change it to free dining. We want to upgrade to DDP from the quick service though. Does anyone know if I can do both online? If not I'm hoping to at least change it to QS dining, then call and do the upgrade at 7am.

I think I just got a dud TA...I made my res and discussed the FD with her when I made it back in September. I haven't heard from her once since. Not one time, even though I email'd her once asking something and never got a response. I know there hasn't been any news or anything but I feel like I should have heard from her at least 1 time in the past 6 months,especially when I emailed her.
