I just saw this over on a different disboard!

I just read a rumor that Expedition Everest may also get a refurb to fix the Yeti once Pandora FP+s were all situated. Again, this is a RUMOR, and who knows how long it will take them to be satisfied with Pandora FP+s.

Gosh I honestly hope that's not true! Both Splash and EE! I will be so upset!
Last year it was Dinosaur and Thunder that were both down.

Are those BB dates?
I booked a BB offer for free dining on Oct. 30, 2016 for 2017. The dates offered were

'Valid for arrivals most nights 5/30-6/6/17, 6/30-7/5/17, 8/11-9/9/17 and 12/8-12/20/17'

Not sure if that information had been posted yet (didn't want to read back 111 pages) but thought I would share in case it helps in any way.

Splash was down on the last trip we took to Disney (Jan 2014) so I really, really hope it's back up and running for our trip this Dec!

I heard the Yeti may never get fixed. Something about the load the footings for the Yeti would be bearing were underestimated and it would be a major reconstruction, like tearing the mountain apart to get down to the main footings.

When dining with an imagineer they indicated the issue is maintenance. The maintenance crew cannot safely/effectively get to it to clean/repair/maintain or something along those lines. Not certain it's the only issue, but it's what they said.

I remember that! My DD was finally tall enough to ride Dinosaur and was upset it was closed. Now my youngest and wildest DS might be tall enough for Splash mountain and I think he would love it.:sad2:
To this day my youngest still has the same terrified expression when she rides Splash, but she loves it!! If the refurb does happen, maybe it will open back up before/during your trip! :wizard:

I JUST LOST MY WATER! Ugh! Have to dip into my vacation fund to replace the water pump....$ 1200.00 of unexpected pleasure! I could get lucky and it may only be the box, but you know how this goes, it's probably the pump. Won't know till tomorrow. I need a little of this: pixiedust:

Our pump broke about a month ago. It's still not fixed. My hubby is dead set on doing it on his own. I'm ready to go live in a hotel until it's done (nothing within 35 miles though!). Oh the joys of living on a farm.

All this airline talk is making me happy we drive.:car: We do have to hear "Are we there yet?", from 3 kids for 18 hours driving from Canada though.:scared:

Yes! I keep anticipating SW flights to come up but then realizing we'll be driving down from Chicago. I've Road tripped before but never to/from Disney. We are going to drive constantly (3 adults) so we can get in at a decent time ^_^

The kicker? We'll have to take my car and it doesn't have cruise control! :rotfl2:

I'm in that area if you need to extra drivers. :-)

We are booked at POR 9/13-9/20. DS will be in Kindergarten this year, so he'll miss 6 days. Our first year having to deal with this...ugh. Anyway, we wanted CBR and there was a ton of availability last week, now nothing. I guess I'll see what happens.

My question is- I booked Spirit of Aloha and they charged my credit card the $236 for the dinner. If we get free dining, we will want to use credits. Do I get the money back only when we go to the show in September and tell them we want to pay with the dining credits?

If you booked with a dining package you should be able to use table service credits to make your reservation.

If you get free dining you call reservations and they will take the credits off of your dining plan and credit the money back to your card
