Official 2017 D23 Expo Thread

i missed the part about the epcot spine.. can someone go over this please.. I had an emergency potty break from being way too excited.
I missed a lot too.

The spine seems to include Spaceship Earth and the Innoventions buildings. It looks like Innoventions will be going away.

Asking again because I'm sure my question got lost in the fray - did they announce a Toy Story Land for DCA?

Also, in the concept art for Epcot, is Innoventions missing or just not in the picture?

Listen...this is probably not the day for the IP discussion...though there are valid arguments there.

...but everyday is the day for price/affordability argument...

Prices are a valid concern always...and one of the things that burns me the most is when we act like we deserve to keep paying tons and tons more. We've been bled already. And I get the distinct impression that those that say they don't care about the price...aren't paying. That too convenient.

It's still an amusement complex...not bora bora.

*disneyland people on periscope complain they're getting nothing*
*get something and still complain*
That was literally what it was. Wish I had the love button like on Facebook for your post. Granted I did not like the announcement of Pixar pier. Granted the two new lands are pretty much the two that got the least amount of attention that needed help during the redo five years ago, it just felt to me so much for the redo if it needs reimaginings of the lands that they tried to fix

Look its simple supply and demand. Disney is winning that battle. They have proven that people will pay what they ask, so they will continue to do so. Complaining and arguing about it won't change the price. It is what it is. They have a premium product that people want.

Pretty much what I figured they would be. I know some expected them to be bigger and able to hold 20-30 ppl. Figured they would be smaller and just holding a family.

Wonder how big they'll be in the end though and any issues with wind/weather

I guess I was thinking somewhere in between, like 10-12.

No.. TSL is going in DHS and Shanghai Disneyland

Ok thanks! I think I just got distracted (darn kids!) and misunderstood the segue.

Another thing D23 is showing me at least is just now NUTS we all are re: waiting in lines. People were camping out since 7pm last night to get in to the live action panel that was I think at 10am? Seven. PM. They were sleeping on pool floaters! We're all nuts!

my best friend was screaming because she thinks that if WDW does Star Wars hotel that maybe Universal will spring for a Hogwarts Hotel and I just can't give myself that hope. Disappointed no pavillion or haunted mansion restaurant announcement but im so overloaded right now I feel like I am buzzing!

Also I have so many questions! Do the rat ride and mickey ride have completion estimates? what else is coming to epcot when we randomly get an awesome new restaurant?! how big are the skyliners? what will replace speedway?! is tomorrowland getting a new name or is future world? what about hollywood studios?! can we assume now that the haunted mansion restaurant is a myth? WHERE DOES THE NEW THEATER GO? Will Club Villain ever return?! Where will the Star Wars resort be located?! DO WE HAVE TO USE THE REN AND STIMPY CONCEALED ADULT HUMOR STYLE OF ANIMATION FOR THE LOVE OF GOD?! Will we EVER see a new pavilion and what about Illuminations? How accurate is the Epcot concept art?!

and most importantly...is there still a chance for a Greece pavilion featuring Hercules?

The world may never know

Side note: I know that most of these are questions we already had, we are already discussing, or are just over the top but idk I am so curious

Ok in all seriousness I'm overwhelmed. There were surprises, there were tons of things we expected, and best of all, tons of new things!!! The only thing that my scoreboard had that wasn't covered was Brazil (unless I missed it; watched the periscope muted because I was in church, God understands why I did it in church and I'll talk to Him about it later :p). My only nitpick is a minor one: I hate the redesigns for the 2013 Mickey Mouse series and I'm upset they're using them for the attraction. I can see myself being fine with it once I see more of it/in person but that was my only nitpick. I need to catch up on California adventure because that's when I left church and ate dinner. Loving it all though!!!! :teeth:

I dont think youre alone.. I noticed how very sputtered the applause was at the new ride versus the Star Wars info that wasn't even brand new...
