It's a little sad the lack of original movie ideas. (I'll give Winkle in Time as "Original", and "Nutcracker" but boy Disney is 100% behind the franchise...not that this is a surprise.

What do you mean?

3D for movies? Theaters now only show the 3D version on release week, IMAX is now prioritizing 2D showings (my local IMAX had only had one or two IMAX 3D showings for Beauty and the Beast and Spider-Man: Homecoming) and now studios are pretty much stopping Blu-ray 3D releases and if they do release them it's a highly sought after collector's item. I could go on and tell you about the second to last 3D showing my theater had for Despicable Me 3 and how screwed up it was but I don't want to rant, especially since I promised myself I wouldn't rant over 3D

Got it - thanks. We like the 3D stuff, and so far have still seen many 3D releases around here. A shame if that dies down.

I think they should let Du Vernay make anything she wants. (Also Brad BIrd and Edgar Wright should be on that list.)

WE have 3D all over. There also putting reclining seats in all our local theaters.
