Official 2016 Star Wars Half Marthon - The Dark Side Weekend

I have absolutely no idea. But can you imagine an entire hoarde of rundisney folks running with Dark Side cowbells.

the cow bell from apex is a cow bell. We got one from the apex booth at the DL half weekend but it was bright orange and said apex in white letters, this one looks like it says the dark side on it and is black by what the picture looks like. Basically its a noise maker for you. we didn't see anyone in the race with it but many spectators had them and were ringing them.

A few years age there was a beer stop around mile 19 of the marathon. I miss mile 19 stop.

Yes! My DH and BRF's hubby had grapefruit beer ready for us in Germany during the marathon. It was awesome!

I don't know about then, but you can buy beer now - lots of options around World Showcase! I was planning to buy a margarita, actually, but a lovely woman handed me a beer before I got to MX. And it hit the spot!

The hashers used to hand out beer before Disney asked them to stop doing so. These days, my wife has a cooler at mile 24 & hands out beer to me & my friends as we run past Boardwalk.

We made sure to ride Everest and get a beer in the UK during the marathon. It's my only one so was going to be a PR no matter when I finished!

I handed out beer at the Boardwalk, one man professed his undying love for me when he saw it was cold grapefruit beer and not warm miller lite.

This may have been asked already, and if it has feel free to direct me to the information...

Im in one of the later to middle corrals for the half. I have never done a half with Disney so wasnt sure what the waiting game is. If im in the G corral approximately how long after race start will my corral go off?

I apologize again as im sure this has been discussed somewhere already.

It's typically 3-5 minutes between the corrals. I'd guess that you'd start 20 minutes or so after the first gun goes off.

I was in J last year for the Disney Half, and we went off about 30 minutes after the official race start.

I was in G for the full in Jan last year and started towards the front and started 17 minutes after. For this years Jan half I was in F and started 13 minutes after again starting close to the front. The first corrals are every 2-3 minutes than it gets longer with the later corrals since they have to get everyone through and the corrals get bigger. It goes by fast I think.

I have done something to my left knee. Ugh!!! I was running yesterday and at about mile 3 it started really bothering me, so I stopped. I can feel it twinge when I walk around at work and it hurt to bend it when I slept last night. I guess I will rest and hope for the best. I did 15 last Friday (my last really long run), so I should finish, but I really wanted to finish out my plan as I approach the race. I am in corral D, so I can walk the race if I have to, but I really want to run.
