Has anybody heard if the Clif Bar Pace Team is thinking about this race? It's not listed on their website, but I know they were there for W&D, Marathon Weekend and PHM.

If you do the home made route I would suggest using a bit of Velcro. That way it would be easy to remove if it's driving you nuts during the race.

I managed to switch some days around so we will be doing our carb loading at Trattoria al Forno Friday before the 10k, and at Tutto on Saturday before the half since I have eaten here before long races pretty often and feel more confident

I cannot wait for both Trattoria AND Tutto.... I have to start reading those menus

I have a question that has probably already been asked. Sorry! So I have had some serious health problems recently and I am unable to participate in the race. My husband said to me today that he would like to run in my place. Does anyone know if that can be changed? I know the website said no refunds so I was curious if this is allowed.

Unfortunately, likely, no. You can try to defer if slots are still open. At a minimum i'd contact runDisney ASAP to see if they will do anything, but I think your only option would be deferring.

No, bib transfers are not legal. They should open up deferrals sometime in the next month or so. I hope you feel better soon!!

Basically for a fee you defer your race till next year. It is meant for people who are injured, sick, etc to allow them to race next year without having to lose the money they paid. I've never done it, but it is limited to some number of slots, i believe there is a fee, and I think you can only defer once (i.e. you probably wouldn't be able to defer the same registration multiple times). Hope you get better soon

FYI (as someone that just deferred a race ), keep in mind...

- Deferral fee is $55 (it was for me, anyway)
- you can only defer to the same event (so you can't apply it toward a different race weekend)
- I believe you'll need to pay the difference in registration fees next year. So if the price goes up $20 I think you need to pay that $20...not totally sure about this yet
- the most annoying thing - they don't update deferral capacity. So it won't say that deferrals are 50% full or anything...they'll just be open one day and closed the next. So if you're 100% sure you want to defer I'd do so as soon as you see the link.

Ah, 5Ks and Kids Races cannot be deferred. You just lose that money, unfortunately (I lost my Princess 5K registration this year).

Okay, time for a costume question!

I have some cool Vader-themed duds and lightsaber. I'm not going to have any kind of helmet, because I'm leery of overheating. (The Mickey ears with Princess Leia buns just about did me in during the Princess 10K. AGAIN -- DON'T TRY ANYTHING NEW ON RACE DAY! ) I would love to have a small cape, though. Does anyone know of a good, light black cape? I don't want to add much weight or heat, but... the thought of those photos where my cape flutters majestically behind me... Imperial March blaring... ahhhhhh....

Try an online halloween costume shop, and get a little kids cape that ties or will connect to your top. It would be a great size for this!

Unfortunately, I do not think they allow deferrals for the 5k's. Is walking it a possibility at all?
