I bet the field size will be close to the January events and that all resorts will be host resorts. I really can't see RunDisney making this one small.

The bigger the field the less likely that registration will be sold out in minutes,so I'm good with it.Talking about registration,with early registration on Tuesday is there any chance of someone posting those helpful direct registration links.

I agree that this will be on par with the January events. I do not see RunDisney leaving money on the table with this event. They have a guaranteed sellout so that might as well make it the same size as the Disney World Half, which would mean that all resorts would be host resorts.

Got a msg from acclaim early this morning saying the early registration date may get moved out. Anyone else hear this?

I'll be on tomorrow to register my hubby and son. Hubs is running the challenge and my son will be doing the 100m. Hopefully this won't be a ridiculously fast sellout. The last everest race sold out pretty quickly and I had to wait until regular registration to sign up hubby's team and they got stuck in the last corral when all our other friends registered during passholder and got way earlier corrals. But since we have to submit times I can guarantee hubby an earlier corral.

I'm not a runner but love cheering on my friends and husband. Now for our DVC resale to close so we can book our hotel for the race and I'd be very happy. I don't even care what resort we get as long as we get one.

If it is just charities and travel providers I am ok with that. I have my name in with them but also have my own room booked so I will try to get in for the AP registration then I have a back up just in case. And worst case I go to regular registration next week.

Ugh...this is more stressful than usual.

I've read posts from TAs elsewhere (and from someone that applied for a "group allocation" of bibs that is NOT a TA - didn't even know that was a thing for those that are not Travel Agents! ) and I think @girli565 is correct - they won't have the group allocations (TAs and otherwise) ready to go before early registration happens tomorrow. runDisney tweeted out a reminder to register early tomorrow so it seems that date is still firm.

ETA: Just checked the passholder page and it's still saying tomorrow is early registration.

Pleasseeee....I can't remember who usually did this... was it @Keels or @RogueKnits maybe? I think they were a star wars fan so hopefully they are running too!

Edit - I just realized I run too many rundisney races. This just made me realize how I can't keep all these boards straight!

I may have planned my 2016 schedule around the possibility of this SW spring race! I hope we can get all three! I'm aiming for SW DL, Glass Slipper, Tink, SW WDW, and Wine and Dine

I definitely planned my schedule around it. When they didn't announce it at D23 like some of us were speculating I started to panic that I had missed registration for GSC and was going to be runDisney-less for the first part of the year

I am a passholder and DVC owner. I just booked our room at the Boardwalk today. I want to do the challenge and my husband wants to do the 10k. This will be our first running event. What is the best way I can register and will my husband and I be able to run the 10k together?

I strongly advise you each do your own registration on a separate device, rather than doing one and then trying to do the second. Yes, you can run the 10K together, but if you're placed in different corrals, one of you can move back to be together, but no one can move up in the corrals. So if you're placed in B and he's in C, you can move back to C but he can't move up to B.

Which link? The actual registration link won't show up until 12pm tomorrow. Right now, you should see the section for rD early registration on the DVC page, and there should be a link to an rD page about early registration. But no actual registration link to Active yet.

I'm not even seeing a placeholder for the star wars race in DVC. And my AP is having issues - something about a renewal being a certificate not a pass so I can't see the Annual Passholder site. Does the AP version of the runDisney events list the Dark Side?
