I don't think we'll know until way closer to race weekend. But I'm guessing after this year's mess with no pre-order, they'll work hard to have one in 2016.

Yes! (I normally use a local 10-mile race as my proof-of-time, it's worked for me since 2011.)

Star Wars Registration is happening right now! I just clicked on the registration link to get an idea of the process (using a less popular race so I wasn't taking a spot up for a popular race) and it looks like it will be pretty easy. That is providing you are logged into Active.com beforehand and the servers cooperate with us! Fingers crossed!

I just did the same thing! Glad I did it. I'm liking the look of the new system!

Me too - it looks a lot easier to use than last year. However if I was trying to sign up for Rebel Challenge or the 10k they are both On Hold right now so I know I'd be freaking out!

I would be too! I wish I could find a way to check my credit card information in my Active account, just to make sure I don't have an expired card in there. I didn't see a way to do that...I think I'm okay though.

Oooooh great tip! I think I'm okay too but it's better to check now and be safe!
As for Star Wars registration, so many of the races are listed as "On Hold" yet the page doesn't have them listed as Sold Out yet. I'd be freaking out if I was trying to get in!!

If you find a way to update/check your credit card info, let me know! The only way I could think to do it would be to sign up for another Active.com race (which I don't want to do right now) and save the new credit card info while doing that.

That's basically it. I combed that site while I was stressing over registration this morning and could not find a way to even see what card I have on file with Active. Here's a tip for Princess - don't use IE as your browser. Every time I entered a credit card it would tell me that it wasn't valid. Then I finally switched to Chrome and it went thru no problem. Of course that was after 3 failed RC reg attempts, multiple times ON HOLD, and an even scarier message telling me all the spots were taken and I'd only get in if someone abandoned their registration. I know I shouldn't have been using crappy IE in the first place but it ended up being super stressful.

So I just practiced for Princess Half registration by doing the Star Wars registration. If it works the same, I was able to have 2 browsers open (had Chrome and IE) and had DD25 signed in to one and me signed into the other on our Active accounts. Clicked on the runDisney registration link on each browser and was able to have both of our registrations going at the same time, clicking back and forth to make sure one didn't bump the other out. So that is another option for registering, besides signing out of one Active account and into the 2nd persons to register them.

How fast does the early registration with an AP go and are there usually the same technical issues? It was awful registering last year for this year's race. I have an AP now so I'm hoping to get in early.

As for theme.....Frozen was perfect this year due to the temps for the 5K & 10K. Elsa cursed us LOL!!!

I'm not totally sure, but I have heard that about 5-10% of registrations are reserved for AP/DVC early registration. So if you're registering for, say, Glass Slipper Challenge and there are 7,500 Glass Slipper Challenge spots total (just a guess), you're competing for one of 375-750 early GSC registration spots (again, assuming that the 5-10% rumor is true). So I'd expect early registration to close pretty quickly.

runDisney has just switched over to a newer version of Active.com for registrations and, for the mostpart, it seems to be going somewhat smoothly. Fingers crossed!

I've tried to read through and find a post relating to this and haven't stumbled across it yet. So forgive me if I am asking something that has already been addressed!

I recently purchased an AP. I received the voucher and will be activating it on my trip in July (one week after the race registration opens up to all).

Because my AP is not yet "activated" will I be able to attempt the early AP registration? Or no? Does anyone have any experience with a similar situation?

And also what is the date for that early AP registration opening up?

I feel like I should know all of this. Sorry!

Hello all! Very excited to be planning to register for the Princess Half (my very first half marathon!) Just wondering if you had any tips for a first time runner! (aka is there anything I can do in advance to prepare/ familiarize myself with beforehand) Sorry if this has already been addressed, but thanks in advance for any help!

I see that you can order lots of fun add-on things like pins, packages, jackets, etc. My question is, is that the only opportunity to buy those? During registration? Or can you go back and order those later? I'm worried about the big hit my bank account is going to take for registration fees alone, let alone all the fun add-ons!

Nope. If you go to the Registration section, in the spot where they have the links to each of the races, there is also a link to "Commemorative Items." This will take you to Active.com again, so it'll look like you're signing up for a race, but it's where you can get the pins, etc. I'm not sure exactly how long they will be there for purchase, but they are there!

ETA: You can see this if you go to the registration section for Wine & Dine (which has been sold out for a couple of months now) - commemorative items can still be purchased for that race weekend.
