Does anyone else think that it might be textured aka - that it might be fabric between metal?! I zoomed in on the pic and for example in the space inside the outline for the 5K - it looks like fabric of some sort...

ETA: actually the Disneyland part looks like it's painted. lol

The only race I signed up for 10k.... I feel like they are slowly torturing us 10k people.

But I am excited about the new medals for 5k, I will want to run them now.

I think this will alleviate the strain of the 10K for sure -- I have friends who wanted to do the 10K in lieu of the 5K due to the medal drama.

Now I'm trying to find a way into the 5K races. They look so AWESOME. Darn you Disney!

I've been wondering if Disney would use Disney Photographers on course like they did with one of the recent Walt Disney World Races, or if they would stick with the MarathonFoto company they have used in the past. And it looks like it will be MarathonFoto (their website lists each of the Disneyland Half weekend races as upcoming events). They've always done a good job in the past so that is great with me (although I'm a Signature AP holder at Disneyland so with any Disney photo's I get free downloads, so that would have been nice). MarathonFoto usually has a deal the week before a race where if you pay $50 dollars you get $75 of credit on their website. I'll keep an eye out and post any info here.

Also I'm really hoping we get to see the 10K Medal soon!

Hmm... that would be very odd because they used their "photo pass" system for Tink in May.
Why would they switch back to MarathonFoto for this event?

I wonder if that's just a mistake because it should be Disney photopass doing the photos not marathonfoto.

Hope you are right, but currently each of the races are listed on the MarathonFoto site. I guess we will know in a few weeks when more info is released.

Loving all the medals and the 10K! I like how reserve the colour for Challenge medals! Can't wait to eat these in 35 days!
