I searched my active registration emails, and my first runDisney half marathon in 2012 came out to $150. That's a huge jump for four years. I love marathon weekend and the DL half, but the price-gouging leaves a bad taste in my mouth.I'm less surprised by the $350 and more surprised by them actually crossing over the $200 mark for the half marathon registration. I thought they might do it last year, but they kept the price at $199. Then this year, $205. I feel like paying $200+ is a mental hurdle for a lot of people - $199 seems like a lot less (just because it's under $200), but it's only by $6.![]()
Have any of you bought the "in training" shirts before? Are they true tech tees? Or similar to the race shirts?

Curious about the same thing. If they're tech tees i'll buy one... just don't want to spend $35 or whatever on a normal tshirt.
Supply and demand: apparently $350 for Dumbo, before fees, is the peak. Let's see how long it takes to show sold out. Also, weren't some of you speculating that it might not be as popular with Paris inaugural so close after?

I guess that's also when runDisney started to get REALLY popular. They COULD take away the Visa discount, so they did. They COULD raise prices, so they did. And yet we still pay them and sign up.I searched my active registration emails, and my first runDisney half marathon in 2012 came out to $150. That's a huge jump for four years. Edit: only $149.62 after Disney Visa discount, including active fees
They must view Dumbo as their most popular 10K/half marathon challenge to price it like that. Yep, over $25 per mile! I thought the 10K was the craziest one at $120, but you're right...the 5K at $80 wins. At least there's lots of park time. What kills me is the $80 5k. That some serious dough for 3 miles and a rubber medal.

OMG...good point.Which makes me worry what Dopey will cost in 2017, and I can't even think about the price for 2018 ...![]()
I secretly can't wait until the fad is over.I guess that's also when runDisney started to get REALLY popular. They COULD take away the Visa discount, so they did. They COULD raise prices, so they did. And yet we still pay them and sign up.

That's a good point. I guess Avengers will be the next comparable weekend.I've always felt that the DL races were much higher than FL; allegedly it's because of the cost of closing down the streets of Anaheim and using their PD, etc. I'm going to guess that all CA challenges will be $350 now. We'll see what they do with FL.
