Official 2016 Disneyland Half Marathon Thread

I hope this is not "old news" but I was on the disneystore website today and saw these training shirts available for your race.
I'm not running the 2016 DL half, but I have 2017 Tink or DL half on my radar. I look forward to lurking your race reports later this year

It does make you wonder- esp in light of all the bibs being suddenly available for PHM the last week.
We know some of them were fundraisers not able to make the needed $$, some were deferrals- but there has been a lot of them.
I would have bought from a TA but the extra fees on top of 4 race fees and the Active fees- were just TOO much.

I would say price is a factor and add in the fact that in the last year or two Disneyland has doubled the amount of rD races - Tink & DL in 2013 vs. Tink, Star Wars, DL, & Avengers in 2015. Be interesting to see how other DL races sell. SO more dates available for people wanting to do a CTC as well as different themes for their interest.

Did anyone else notice that the didn't ask for proof of time at registration until sub 2:45 rather than sub 3:15? I'm going to do 3 10ks before the cut off to get a better time. Just thought it was odd

Ok weird so Land races are back to 2:45 but world is 3:15? I just looked at the Disneyland half info vs wine and dine.

Stupid question, probably - what's a sub 2:45 time for the half when submitting a 10K time? I'm curious as to what I should be aiming for?

Can't believe Dumbo is still open If it was at all possible for me to do it this year, I'd definitely be reconsidering!

So I signed up for boot camp, to get me going again on working out. It is a 6 week program, were I workout with a group (4 peeps) and a trainer mon-thurs. I am soo sore.

I would LOVE it if you could make it!! But I know you have other amazing things planned and how difficult it will be for you to swing an extra trip.

That being said, I'm in for the DDD and 5k!

I booked a hotel though the runDisney link and received the confirmation, but it looks like my credit card hasn't been charged yet. Has anyone booked through rundisney before? How does it usually work?

For Tink, it took a couple of days for them to charge my card. Like maybe 48 hours?

Apart from the money issue, there is no way I could take annual leave at that time of year again - it coincides with the massive conference that it is my job to help plan and organise on the day. I only managed to get away with it last year because we'd already booked and paid for our trip before I started working there, but as long as I have this job, I won't be able to do DL half marathon weekend at all

Fortunately I have other exciting trips to look forward to this year - Opening Day at Shanghai is going to be mad!

I checked the Avengers, and they are still listing Avengers PoT as a 3:15. So I am curious to see what happens.

Surgery went well. I am using a walker for now but I am hoping for not that much longer. Mom managed to get registered on her own despite my doubts while I was back there. I think one of the first questions l out of my mouth when I saw her in recovery was 'Did you get registered?'

Anyways yes her, my best friend, and me are all in for our races. So registration was a success.

I have two questions that I thought you guys might be able to answer, first when does the 10k end because we would like to book some sort of character breakfast? Also does Disneyland hotel in their fitness center have a foam roller? Thanks!
