Official 2016 5th Anniversary Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend!

I think someone from the Star Wars expo said that the Tink spins on the Half medal? Has it always been a spinner?

I keep saying/hoping she's a spinner but I have no idea. I'm going to harass the people at the booth when I go to Dark Side if we don't get word. I haven't seen any blogs reporting on it yet.

I'm glad you're OK, but sorry to hear you have pain. But FWIW, I think you're being very smart to defer GSC and not push through. Wishing you rapid healing!
Thank you! The pain is a LOT better than it was last week, which is making me a lot happier. :) I think you're right that deferring GSC was the right call, even if I'm not 100% thrilled about it. At least I get to go next year!

Can someone clarify something for me?

Is the pink Coast to Coast only for the Princess/Tink combo or would Disney World Half/Tink combo earn it as well?

This year RunDisney is allowing someone to use a single race for both challanges, so WDW Half/Tink would get you a blue C2C medal. I ran the WDW Half and am running both GSC and PDC so I'm hoping in May I will get both the blue and pink C2C medals!

So it qualifies as a Coast to Coast and earns the blue medal? Great! Thanks!

PCLVNMCKY88 - I am doing/did the same thing I ran the WDW half running the Princess next month and the tinkerbell. I am hoping that I get both the pink and blue medals. I also hope that I get to medals with little hassle.

Me too! I re-read the new 2016 rules for the coast to coast challenge and I don't think it can be disputed. I figure if they are mean about it then I'll atleast geone C2C medal for sure! I will argue for it though haha, probably bring my certificate from each race with me.

Has anyone used any of the travel providers to purchase bibs? Successes or tips to avoid?

Sure have! I've used Acclaim, Get Sports and have a friend currently using Magical Miles. All have been easy peasy processes.

The best thing I would say to do is contact TAs and go ahead and get on their waiting list - that's how I got my Jingle Jungle 5k bib in the last hour before TA registration closed! Jim has always been GREAT to work with.

What are you trying to do and maybe I can give you more specific advice?

Keels....we're trying to grab Pixie Dust registrations. Right now we've got a lead on some that would require us to stay at Anaheim Marriott. Anyone stay there?

When does the TA registration close?

Check with Magical Miles. Disneyland registrations through a TA require a park ticket purchase, not a hotel stay.

My friend bought her Pixie Dust bib through them today and just had to buy a 1-day, 1-park ticket.

@Keels Magical Miles doesn't make it clear on their website if the 1 day ticket is included in their pricing. Do you know if your friend purchased it separately? They are the only TA with Puxie Dust bibs not requiring the hotel stay but their price is higher than ones that include a 1 day ticket v

Yup! It's a one-day, one-park ticket that's included. You can also upgrade it to extra days/park hopper at discounted rates. If you want to PM me, I'd be happy to share the email of the TA she was talking to!

Is the ticket only good for that week or is it a normal ticket thats good for longer?

They're good for a period that starts 7 days before race weekend starts and goes until 7 days after the last race of the weekend.
