Thanks for the information. My friend and I got bibs through Marathon Tours. I can't believe it...we're in for Pixie Dust!!!
Flights = booked! And a slight change of plans ... no more Mr. Keels this week (well, at least during the run portion of the weekend), instead I'll be having two ... and possibly THREE of my girlfriends join me for race weekend!!! I'm so stoked.
We ended up switching over to Paradise Pier in a Park View room because I NEED all the World of Color in my life that I can get.
For anyone still looking for a hotel, there were rooms available via RunDisney for all three on-property hotels. I'm arriving super early on Wednesday morning (into SNA), so I'll be staying Wednesday and Thursday nights at the Fairfield Inn before moving over to Paradise Pier for Friday-Monday! So freaking excited.

For booking through run Disney, were the prices reasonable? I have a great deal at the new holiday inn express, but might splurge on a room as this will be my first trip ever to Disneyland and I decided to make an actual vacation out of it so I am staying after race weekend
I'm trying to decide if I should do my extra days before the race or after. Anyone have any insight on if the parks are more crowded in the days before the race or the days after? Are they pretty much the same?
Crowds start to come in on Thursday for the Expo and most people leave on Sunday.... I'd probably do earlier arrival and use it to "warm up" for the big events. I'm walking too much like a baby giraffe after to enjoy it.
Last year, I got there early Wednesday morning (this was for Disneyland Half) and left midday on the following Tuesday. That Monday was Labor Day, so it was crazy nuts.
But going forward (2016 Tink and DLH), I'm arriving again early on Wednesday morning and leaving early evening on Monday. I tend to frontload my park time and then spend Sunday and Monday relaxing by the pool or at/the bars in Downtown Disney and DCA, not doing many rides or park touring.
Oh awesome. This was my plan so I'm glad to see someone with experience thinks it will work out.Last year, I got there early Wednesday morning (this was for Disneyland Half) and left midday on the following Tuesday. That Monday was Labor Day, so it was crazy nuts.

As sad as it is that you may have to defer it it's probably at least somewhat cheaper and definitely healthier than not deferring and trying to run it and doing it again next year with your deferred GSC.Zero training for me...just walking and lifting right now. 95% sure I'll be deferring PDC to next year, but I'm hoping to be ready for the 5K this year.![]()
Exactly. Since the pink C2C is already out for me this year, it makes the decision to defer PDC WAY easier! All about that bling. As sad as it is that you may have to defer it it's probably at least somewhat cheaper and definitely healthier than not deferring and trying to run it and doing it again next year with your deferred GSC.
Reminder: Proof of time submission for the half marathon and Pixie Dust Challenge closes on February 2!
