Official 2016 5th Anniversary Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend!

Are they doing the "in Training" shirts for Tinkerbell? I have looked at the Disney Store and haven't found them but that could be because I am not looking in the right place.

Haven't seen anything announced yet. They had information about the Princess ones on Twitter, so if they do them I'd expect to see something there...

I'm assuming either people dropped or they opened more spots because Neverland 5k is no longer sold out.

Interesting...
It is on hold when I check, but still ... I thought it was weird that they left it as 99% on the runDisney website. Maybe they were talking to travel providers about giving them more bibs, and decided to instead release those bibs to the public.

Huh, wow, when I looked five minutes ago it wasn't on hold. I just double checked and it is.

Neverland 5k is back to being sold out. They must have only one or two bibs left.

That being said the site still shows it at 99% so that should change sooner or later if they're really sold out.

Looks like some room on 5k... I just saw there is no sold out or hold on the registration page

Same here. Although I just hit refresh again and got "ON HOLD."
What is runDisney doing? Are they releasing a few new 5K spots every few hours or something? This is a little weird...

Another 8 miles tackled this AM. MUCH MUCH better run this week than last. It was an amazing run. Although, I can see how long distance becomes as much mental as it is physical, somewhere between mile 4-6 I kept thinking "damn, I don't know if I can do this" and had to correct myself into thinking "come on, you got this, only x miles to go". Shaved about 2-3 minutes off my time from last week, but more importantly, kept between 12 and 12:20 pace until mile 4. Again, 4-6 I really slowed down. Picked up that pace for mile 7 and finished strong.

Ran in a new pair of Newton Aha's (can't remember if I posted in this thread or another of the race threads I'm on with my questions on them) and I have to say I like them quite a bit. Enough that I can honestly say I may have found the shoes that pull me away from Asics....

I'm still waiting for the Rock'n'Roll Marathon page to confirm dates for Portland Oregon 2016. Since we are driving up the west coast after Tink with a couple of days in Portland the following weekend, it would be awesome if the dates line up.

That would be beautiful! Hope the dates work out for you. If they don't you could also do the Bay to Breakers 12k in San Francisco the next weekend. That's always an interesting race.

This year Portland RnR was the weekend after Tink. I'm hoping it lines up again next year. We've done a few trips to the Bay area so the plan is to spend more time visiting other locales. Big Sur, Monterrey, etc, etc.

Another travel question for everyone. When you fly down for races, do you prefer to fly home after the race or do you spend the night and go back the next day?

Since we fly from TX, we always make at least a short trip out of it and stay a few days. This time we will be doing a full week after the race. The first couple of nights at Disney, then slowly driving up the coast to Portland the rest of the week.

we hit the parks after the race(s) and fly home Monday afternoon/evening

I'll be flying home first thing Monday. Not ideal but flying home the day of the race seems crazy unattractive to me.

Thanks ladies! I know I'll hit the parks after the race. Its probably easiest to just fly out Monday morning/afternoon rather than rushing to pack up and check out post race.
