"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

I've been out all afternoon, but just in case you don't know, there is a one day memory maker for the party!

That's great news! Do you know how early in the day I can get it and also, if we're at Grand Floridian do I have to take the monorail to the TTC or can I buy it somewhere at the Magic Kingdom entrance? Thank you!

I assume the TTC is the only place, and you can probably do it any day of your trip.

What material is the Hermione robe made out of? I ask because my daughter was Hermione one year and that robe lasted all of 30 minutes in that heat and humidity. She was sweating to death.

I made it out of cotton, the cheap kind :) it's two layered so it might be a bit warm but she can always take it off. Underneath we are doing the white shirt, skirt and tie, but no sweater. I bought one for $13 from zulily and it was the typical polyester however it was faded and looked bad. I had a friend buy me a patch from universal two weeks ago, hoping I can figure out the hood! Didn't use. A pattern, probably why I am having issues lol

Is it me or does TTC seem like the most inconvenient place to sell the Memory Maker? Resort guests are going to have to spend probably 45 minutes going over there and back if they took the bus to MK.

I would love to get the Memory Maker for our MNSSHP day, but it seems very inconvenient to have to go to TTC to get it when we take a bus to MK from our resort… I hope that we hear from people going soon whether or not we have to go to TTC to get the memory maker!

These are the sold out dates from 2014 Thanks @smitch425!

Fri Oct 24

Tues Oct 28

We will be there Oct 23 & 25. We're not sure which night we'd like to go - maybe both. How likely is it that 10/23 (the Friday before Halloween) and 10/25 (the last Sunday party) sell out? if they do, around when would it happen? Could I buy tickets 2 weeks in advance? one week?

Do Jack & Sally or the Seven Dwarves have a photo pass person at them? We are thinking about splitting up and having my dd and I waiting for the dwarves and my mom and ds will wait for Jack and Sally. Those are the characters the kids want to see but they can't agree on which set to see (so they'll each see the ones they want). My dh and I have a very nice camera, but I will only be in one place at a time, so I thought we'd send the camera to the one that maybe doesn't have a photo pass person.

Is the one day Photopass good for the entire day or just 7-12? I have a couple of character FPs between 4-7 that I'd like to use it for.

I thought of another question. Like I said, we'll be starting our day in Epcot and plan to leave there at 3 to head toward MK. We don't want to be in our costumes all day, so somewhere in between leaving Epcot and getting to MK, we need a way to change into them. We've considered just changing in the car, taking turns holding a towel across the window, lol. We also though of planning a lunch somewhere in between and we could change in the bathroom after eating. Any suggestions/easiest way you've done it?

Weather is looking bad.....any predictions what will happen? Will they cancel the late parade if it rained all day?

If you can - do it! we did one party our first and only MNSSHP, 31st October 2013. The next day was sold out otherwise we would have been back then. this time we are going twice - 25th and 31st of October. Can't wait :)

Although drama today. My costumes have arrived, both from the same etsy seller. 1 is perfect, its like a dream and will be my costume for Halloween itself (where we are going the DVC Halloween Party at the contemporary then heading over to MK for MNSSHP, I'll be dressing as Anna from the last scene of Frozen), the costume for the first night however... its a disaster. Its supposed to be blue dress Belle, but its just all over the place, bodice is too short, barely fits across my chest. The shirt is too small by far... I don't know how these could have come from the same person. :( Fingers crossed she'll get this fixed for me but no answer from her yet. Time to think about plan b!!

Anyone else having costume issues?

Oh no!!! :( My costume is blue dress Belle, and I got mine from an Etsy seller...it fits perfectly! Although it's a few inches longer than I would like, but that was my fault with the measurements; I can get it hemmed. I wonder if we used the same seller. She was really great with communication.

While I do not have an exact recommendation of a place I would bring my costume into any resort or restaurant and change in the bathroom, then bring the other clothes back out to the car. Much more comfortable and you have the mirrors and whatnot if you need. How funny would it be to change in the car and have security see you, get you in trouble for indecent exposure at disney! Ok not FUNNY. Probably not a real threat either, but I'd go with inside.
How about eating lunch at a resort like the contemporary, changing in the nice big bathrooms and then taking monorail or walking over?

Yes, the will cancel the parades/fireworks/outdoor meet and greets if the rain is bad enough. If the ground is at all slick, the headless horseman gets pulled from the start of the parade.

I think it's meant to be rain all afternoon, but I think it's meant to be dry by tonight. Fingers crossed the rain stops in time for the party!
