"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

So it sounds like most of the characters that draw the big lines will be in fantasyland. So for those of us who don't care about meeting them, we should probably avoid that area until late, like after 11 maybe??

If I go by the weather outlook right now I'll do parade, stage show and fireworks first party....second party will be any characters I want to meet. I'll probably hit up trails both times.

I have read a lot of posts about Jack and Sally being a "must". Is it a must because this is the only time you get to meet them or is there something else that I am missing?

I feel the same!! Also going solo... but don't really get into dressing up that much. But this year decided to go "Disney Bound"!! If you aren't sure what that means... google it! I'm all set for Mulan!!
I'm going solo again this year too. I usually just opt for a Halloween shirt, but have been thinking about Disney bounding Mickey too but I can't find the yellow Converse sneakers I wanted so I bought red ones instead. I also cannot find red jeans. But with the red shoes I may just do black pants....

Yep. Jack and Sally only meet at MNSSHP.

I thank my lucky stars that we've never seen A Nightmare Before Christmas so it's not a must-do for us.

Jack and Sally are very interactive shall we say? Especially Jack. When I went they were doing things like picking the spiders off my shirt, and asking me questions, etc. Sorry, don't really remember the questions, but they were def in character.

Hi everyone! I'm trying to nail down my touring plan for the party and having never been before just had a question - more of an opinion really. The characters aren't a major draw for us (while they would all be very awesome to meet, I know we don't have time for everything and the shows are the bigger draw for us). The only characters that are a Must DO for us are Captain Jack and then if there is time, Aladdin, Jasmine, & friends. So my question is...

Should we get in line for Captain Jack and try to meet him before all the shows? Or wait until after we watch all the shows and then jump in his line?

I'm not sure how long his line gets and our 2 year old DD will be with us. She is pretty awesome and can definitely hang pretty late so I'm not super concerned but all the same, I'd like to see the earlier parade/shows just in case (it will be a long day!)

TIA!

It's our first MNSSHP, so the priority is the parade, castle show, and Hallowishes, and then try to fit anything else (rides, candy, etc.). I'm pretty sure we won't make it to the second parade. If we want to see well the first parade, should we plan on catching the second Castle Show (9:20)? Could we see the Castle Show and stay in that area for Celebrate the Magic and Hallowishes? I have not seen a Castle Show, how far back can you stand and still see the it? Could you stand where the Wishes FP+ area is (I assume this will be open since there are no FP+ that evening)?

Does the map's wording mean that you can only go on the Fantasyland to Tomrrowland treat trail in that direction? Thanks.

I'm trying to decide if I want to meet Jack & Sally. I kinda gave up on the other big ones, because I don't want to wait. Maybe later. But I met Jack two years ago in Disneyland, and Sally left right before me. So I don't know. I'd like to meet them all but I'm going on Halloween and I feel like we'll be wanting to do lots of other things. I really want to see the dance party. Is that fun for adults? I never bothered with them.

What time does the Headless Horseman ride? Touring Plans has the times as 8:10 & 10:25. That is 25 minutes ahead of the first parade and *50* minutes ahead of the second parade. Is that right?

those were the times they had since last year. now that the parade times have changed, I haven't seen the headless horseman time updated.

Ah, thank you. So those would have been 5 minutes ahead of last year's parade times. I will plan on 5 minutes of lead ahead of this years times for now.

I am sure there will be plenty of reports after the parties start occurring next week too.

Question! And sorry if this was already addressed - I couldn't find my answer.

So I had to move my date for the party. Ticketing send me RFID cards in the mail. Do I link these to my AP or do I have to scan them separately when we enter the party? Is there a separate line for this? How does it work?

You can link the tickets to MDE or use the hard ticket. Either way is fine. There will be entrances for party goers. It will be clear as to where to go. :)

How’s the traffic around fireworks time? Is it easy to go from Town Square to Adventureland during/immediately after HaloWishes or should I stay away from Main Street?
