"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

We are going to try to stay for the second parade but with kids (13/9) you never know. So we are going to try to take in the early one then wing the night around them. We have never been, and I understand it to be crowded. We also will want a spot closer to the Castle for ease of traveling to the fireworks with a Service Dog in tow. What would be a good place to go to for the parade and how early for the first one? I plan on getting them a good Halloween treat and camping out if need be.

Also, how early does TOT start as a rule? They are not big into waiting on Characters but the Parade, TOT and some of the Magic Shots have our attention the most.
I don't watch the parade near the Castle, but I am sure some else will know. We normally watch the fireworks near the Adventure Land Bridge.

It looks like there are a few locations where it is unknown which characters will be there (i.e. City Hall, Liberty Square). I know Jack & Sally were at City Hall in previous years, not sure who has been in Liberty Square in the past, if anyone. Any guesses or rumors about which characters might fill these locations? Would it be totally crazy to be thinking maybe they've heard people complaining about the lack of characters and there will be some new surprises coming to those locations?

In the comments section of the DPB post about MNSSHP, Shawn Slater said that "Villains such as Jafar, Cruella De Vil, Queen of Hearts, Lotso and Gaston will be available for character greetings during the Halloween party, at locations throughout the park." I assume they're moving Jack and Sally inside Storybook Circus so they can take advantage of the queue that is already set up there. We know where Gaston will be, it makes sense that Jafar will be in Adventureland, and Shawn Slater said that Cruella will be "near the train station in Fantasyland." That's where Jack Skellington met during MVMCP last year (and where I assume Jack & Sally met at MNSSHP last year). That leaves the Queen of Hearts and Lotso. Honestly, I'm not seeing on the map Tiana's meet plus 3 others (for a total of 4) M&G areas on the map as Kenny claims. I see two--Tiana's regular M&G and one other. So I'm thinking that Queen of Hearts goes into the non-Tiana spot and Lotso is going to be near the MK entrance. Or maybe Lotso will be a wandering character (I believe this is what he did in the past) and the marker near the front of the park is for the Tremaines.

If it's the same as last year, the Queen of Hearts will meet in front of the tea cups where Alice and the Mad Hatter meet. Lotso till probably be near Buzz over in tomorrowland like last year.

Interesitng just noticed on the larger map posted that Village Haus closes at 8pm. Wasnt that the prime location to watch parade?

This is kind of off topic a tad, but we were at Kroger's yesterday and they had out some Disney halloween themed mugs. One, was Goofy (Frankenstein) and it said Boo to You....So I bought it lol! There were others, Mickey, Minnie, Group one etc. But the Goofy was the only one that said Boo to You. And as we love MNSSHP, I thought it was an awesome "reference."

A couple of years ago I found some of the window gel clings with "Boo to You" and Mickey pumpkin heads on them. I keep them safe (in my luggage!) and take them with me to decorate my resort room window for MNSSHP!

I looked at the map and it looks like there is only one character dance party and it is in Tomorrowland. I imagine that is the Monsters Inc themed one. Am I blind or is there not a location on the map for the second dance party (Club Villain)??

Here is a link to a larger, higher res version of the map: https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/wdwmaps/MNSSHPv12015.pdf
I read somewhere that because the Diamond Horseshoe is under refurbishment that there won't be a Club Villain dance party this year. Boo to that!

The Disney Parks Blog confirmed no Club Villain this year.

Are any of these cupcakes new? If not, did anyone have them last year? The SWW special cupcakes were spectacular, so I've got some high hopes for these.

Could be! Based on Kenny's page it looks like Lotso will be with Buzz in Tomorrowland and I thought the Queen of Hearts met with Alice by the Mad Tea Party ride in the past. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for some new characters this year, though it won't make or break our night :)

I hope you're right!

I wonder if maybe Facilier will meet with Tiana???? That would be a little awesome.

Has anyone seen how long the Hocus Pocus show will be? Trying to figure out if you can watch that and make it in time for the parade in Frontierland. Also, anyone have any comments on Hallowishes as compared to Wishes? Taking my 4 year old for the first time and not sure he will last for the fireworks honestly.

Hallowishes blows Wishes away. By a lot.

It's going to be tough to make it to Frontierland from the castle forecourt for the parade. I assume the show will be around 20 minutes, and then you'll be moving against a mass of humanity to get a spot on the parade route, which is going to be completely crowded, 4-5 deep, all along the route by then.

Thanks! Kind of what I figured!!! Ok I will plan on taking him to both!

Nooooooo!!! I'm so so bummed there is no Club Villain. That is the first time I have heard it won't be happening and it was one of the things I (and my non-Disney loving, but dance loving mom and sister) was most looking forward to.

Can't wait for the party! I'm still debating on dressing up - I'm going on a solo trip and while I've always wanted to dress up as Tinkerbell, I'm not confident about sitting on the bus myself all dressed up before other people in costumes start showing up around me!
I feel the same!! Also going solo... but don't really get into dressing up that much. But this year decided to go "Disney Bound"!! If you aren't sure what that means... google it! I'm all set for Mulan!!
