Is Capt Hook at the party? Thats all my boyfriend has been asking me for the past few weeks lol. He loves him!
from what I've read i haven't seen any indication that he is
except possibly in the parade and stage show

Thanks for all your help in this thread. We went yesterday in 3 groups, 2 of which hung together basically the whole night: my family of 4 (hubbs and two boys 3 and 5 months) and another couple with their 2 year old. We made sure our 3 year old napped well and took the boat from Ft Wilderness at 3. In line at the gates by 3:25. The 3 turnstiles at the left were for unlinked paper tickets but our magicbands worked. At 3:45? They let us all in! We were 3rd family in line with about 20 people in each line behind us. We ran to our Peter Pan ( wait time 50 mins) fast pass and were 2nd in line for Jack and Sally at 4:20. The couples around there heard they came it around 6. Thanks to this board I knew better. I sent he husbands and the kids to ride Dumbo which was a 10 minute wait skipping the playground. They made it back at 4:50 and J&S were out right at 5. Loved them both! My 5 month old laughed and giggled at Jack and both commented on his Nightmare bib from etsy. The 3 and 2 year olds screamed bloody murder even though they've seen the movie and I showed them pictures of the characters in line. Lol!

We went to Pirates where we barely made our 415-515 FP (WT 20? Mins) I nursed my 5 month old on the ride to save time. After we got Dole Whips near the carpets and made our way to HM FP. On our way we stopped my the Liberty square popcorn carts and got the Zero bin which ruined the kid's dinner but who cares. They were out of those popcorn buckets near dumbo. Or maybe the couple that reported didn't ask. We had to ask since they only had Vampire Mickey on display. At this point my group thinks I'm nuts with all the insider tips I have.

HM was awesome (WT 35?). At this point it was 630ish and the kids had seen Barnstormer so we walked back for that. 20 min posted wait felt like 15. We made our way back to Pinocchios for food. The kids didn't eat so we chowed down. It was 8pm so we started to power walk down for a parade spot. We squeezed into a spot with hubbs in the back standing/leaning, me sitting in our double stroller with the baby and the couple of kids in front of us with the other wife. We barely fit! Headless horseman rode down IMO too early and 10 minutes or so later the parade started. Luckily the kids were amused with the light up toys I bought from the last few trips. OMG the parade was so neat! Lots of characters were greeting the kids. Oogie and the queen of hearts said hey to the group to our right, the country bears the kids to our left and the girl from Wreck it Ralph said hey to our group. Even the grumps crowd hating husbands thought the parade was fun.

After the parade we split since our youngest is teething and had a questionable nights sleep in the pop up camper we rented. We went to the emporium to find a sorcerer Mickey (nope) and a dinosaur from the new movie coming out (nopers!) so I settled for a 1st time pin that fort wilderness was out of. Plenty of hocus shirts I saw. I nursed my youngest at the baby center and we hung out right outside of CP to see the end of the hocus show. Couldn't see much but I didn't care to watch or be in that crowd. Saw the light show and fireworks from that spot with my 3 year old standing on the railing for a great view.

After the fireworks we left and I saw the posted wait time for Mickey was 10 minutes. 15 minutes later with crashing kids we saw talking Mickey!! Great bonus!

We stopped for a handful of candy on the way out and missed our boat to FW! 20 minutes later the kids were passed out on my lap. Great night! Thanks for all the advice!!

Edit:sorry for any typos or synonyms, this autocorrect is terrible!

Going to party on Tuesday, my 3 year olds first time to Magic Kingdom. My question is WITHOUT memory maker, how do I find the pictures cast members take when you meet a character?

You still can view them in MDE. You would just have to pay for each picture individually to download.

how much time to allow for the Mad Tea Party? What time to get into line and can we line up early? I did not realize they broke it into two lines.

Can't wait!! Going on the 25th!! Still really have no idea how we are gonna plan the night. All I know we are still debating on meeting Jack and Sally or the 7 Dwarfs and if we are gonna keep our BOG res. for that evening. LOL.

The photo pass photographers at the characters will give you a photo pass card. Just ask for one at the first character you go to, from then on get it scanned at each one you go to. When you get home enter the photo pass card # from the back of the card on the website and you will see your pictures.

Can i purchase the party memory maker at guest relations outside the ticket gates? I'd like to get it before heading in so as not to waste party time. We already purchased party tickets.

Tonight's the night!!!! Remind me again of parade and fireworks times, please. Those are our top two priorities. Other than that, we will just ToT and ride a few rides.

Our party is next Sunday night!! I can't believe it's only a week away!! Here is our plan as of right now… We will get in line for Jack and Sally sometime around 4:00. My dh will head to the 7 Dwarves line as soon as it is forming. We will join him in the 7 Dwarves line as soon as we've seen Jack and Sally. We will also try to see Jafar, Abu, Tarzan & Jane, and Lotso. We plan to try to see the 8:35 parade, 10:40 Hocus Pocus show, Hallowishes, and then do some trick or treating. How does this sound? I'm not sure what order to do things other than knowing that Jack/Sally and 7 Dwarves need to be first and then knowing the times of the other stuff.

I'll give a quick report on our parties-- we went on 10/13 and 10/15. Neither were sold out. Our goals were to get photos around the park and with characters in our costumes, plus watch the parade, fireworks, and Hocus Pocus stage show. No trick-or-treating or any rides/attractions. My wife and I dressed up as Alice and Mad Hatter on 10/13 and Tinker Bell and Captain Hook on 10/15.

Both days went about the same. We arrived at the gates around 3:30 and they started letting partygoers in around 3:40 or so. We had already set up character meet FP+ for between 4:00-7:00 pm so we spent the first couple of hours using those plus doing some other M&Gs that didn't have long lines and taking PhotoPass photos on Main Street and in front of the castle. We grabbed a quick dinner at Cosmic Ray's about 6:00 pm then got in line for our first characters. We used Kenny the Pirate's Character Locator to plan our schedule, and we had already decided to skip the Dwarves and Jack and Sally. We did character meets until about 9:30, then found a spot near Crystal Palace to watch the fireworks. After the fireworks we did a couple more character meets in Adventureland, then found a spot for the second parade in Frontierland. After the parade we made our way up to the Castle and watched the Hocus Pocus show at midnight and took several more PhotoPass photos, then left the park.

On the first night we met the following characters between 4:00 pm and midnight--
Tinker Bell
Tiana and Naveen
Cinderella
Rapunzel
Anna & Elsa
Minnie
Daisy
Donald
Goofy
Alice and the Mad Hatter
Queen of Hearts
Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, and Tigger
Witch from Snow White
Tarzan and Jane
Aladdin and Abu

On the second night we met the same characters minus Aladdin and Abu, but plus Cruella and Jafar. Came out to a total of 24 characters met each day.

All in all we found things manageable and had a great time at both of the parties!

We were in line to enter the park at the same time as you were for the October 13th party. Loved your costumes :thumbsup2 .

If you are already in the MK, where can I get my party wrist band?
...

I got to MK just before 3. Watched FoF, rode some rides, ate some dinner.

Picked up my party band around 4 in Tomorrowland with no line. There were cast members all over the place once the party started checking bands so that issue is fully taken care of.

and I think I also read somewhere that they can be picked up somewhere near the castle Hub as long as it's after 4:00.

We're going to our first party this Thurs. Wondering if anyone has had any luck doing M&Gs after the 2nd parade!?!? I've only read mssgs saying they start cutting lines for J&S & 7Ds at 11:00; is this the case for all M&Gs though?
