From what I have read on Facebook the D23 is harder to get at Disneyland than at WDW. At WDW it seems to come and go from the stores.
Also, a Dooney is a purse.I would know!
After seeing better pictures I definitely still like the Dooney. I pre-ordered the cross body bag though, and it looks like getting one with good placement (where the pattern is lined up) may be tough. I don't like the one they are showing in the picture - Mickey is covered by the Dooney logo and there's no full Sleeping Beauty castle visible on the front.
Yes, this is important.![]()
Ummm no comment. And if you're anything like me, you know a little better than you wish you did sometimes. My Disney Dooney collection is bigger than I remember sometimesand yet I still want more.
See, I went into it thinking I'd get the 60th bag but over time I have liked that one less and less. I think the race bags sum up the race AND the 60th, which is why I like they. I also like that they have all of the distances on them.I'm not all that fond of this years design, which I suppose is better off in the long run. It will be easier to talk myself out of buying it with money that should be put elsewhere. Now, the 60th bag ... that's another story and I am hoping to get it for my birthday only a few days after the race.![]()
Yes, I know they had 4-5 for me to pick from in January - I hope I find a good one! They will have a few bags for you to look at and pick the placement you want, so fingers crossed one will be just right!
Ugghhhh...I had a Disneyana bag (the braided satchel) and I kid you now, I carried that dumb thing for 2 weeks and the corners began to chip. Not going to lie, sometimes the placement is what calls you to the bag in the first place. I probably never would have gotten the Disneyana design if I hadn't walked right past the PERFECT placement for me. I was a goner at that point.

That is cutting it close. I'm scheduled to go out Thursday, but worst case scenario Wednesday I'll drive to Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, or Chicago and get a flight from there. And I just noticed how weird it is that all those cities start with the same letter. Hopefully this storm will blow itself out or just terrorize Florida.
The smoke from the fires in Washington is atrocious! No outdoor runs for me in the near future. Apparently on an air quality scale of 1 (good) to 10 (very bad), the air quality rating is 19 right now!!! Thank goodness for treadmills and taper week (if i can make it to taper week!)
Bah! I wish they did wallets and I would totally be in. I just don't know that I'd use any of these styles as much as I already have my go-to bags in these shapes and sizes.
Also, my husband will kill me if I buy another purse.

Is anyone else a little disappointed with the Disneyland Half offerings from RawThreads? I was hoping to find something cute to wear on the plane, but most of the stuff is Dumbo-specific or something I would never wear again (like the Race You To The Castle) top.
I mean, I ordered the Run California hoodie and the cloud Dumbo shirt because they were cute and I had a gift card, but I kinda wish there were more options. They have a ton of Star Wars stuff already out.

There are non-runners in the Dooney Facebook groups complaining that the race distances are part of the print...
...
...really?It's the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend print!!

Ran 6 miles on Saturday and then 8 miles today and I think I'm going to call that good enough until next weekend, apart from a couple of 5k-ish maintenance runs at the gym and various cross training every day until I leave next week.
I'm just really afraid of getting hurt at this point. From falling on July 4, to nearly getting hit by a car and falling off my bike two weeks ago (I'm fine - just scraped my elbow up and got a nice little butt-bruise), I want to keep myself in as much of a bubble before this race as I can ... which is probably not the best idea, but, well, I guess that's just what I have to do right now.
Honestly, I think I really need to start "sleep training" at this point. This night owl is going to super-struggle with a couple of early wake ups precluded and followed by long days. What time is everyone planning on setting wake-up calls for during race weekend? 4 a.m.?
I'm sure this has been asked/answered before, but how do I double-check that I've pre-ordered pins? I'm pretty sure I did when I registered, but can't find any confirmations etc. If I didn't, I'll have to make sure I get to the expo really early so I don't miss out!
I feel the same Keels! I'm so terrified I'm going to take a wrong step in one of my training runs in the next week and injure myselfPlus, there are so many sick people at work right now, I feel like I should just stay home until it's time to leave lol! Fingers crossed I get through the next 2 days without picking up anything nasty.
I am neither a night owl or a morning person lol! My training program has been getting me more used to early mornings, getting up at 5am on weekdays, but with jetlag and time difference, I doubt it will make a difference on the day. I plan to set my alarm for 3:30am - it'll take me 10 minutes to get out of bed lol!, half an hour to get ready, and 10 minutes to walk to the corrals. Hoping to be there when they open so we can get right to the front (for the half at least, since my corral will have such a massive range of POTs).

Ugh. I'm a SAHW, so unless my husband gets sick in the next couple of days, I won't have to worry about picking up a bug. But I've been traveling a TON (pretty much every other weekend - or recently, every weekend). So, I think I'm going to start loading up on the vitamin C and Emergen-C just to fend off anything that could take me down.
Also, the husband leaves for ANOTHER work trip to Santa Monica at the start of the week, which means I also have to pack up and bring his race weekend things with me in my carry-on. That's an added stressor - he's THE. WORST. traveller.
