Official 2015 Disneyland Half Marathon Thread.

I'm in corral B. What the what?!

I also noticed less corrals for this year...looks like either not a lot of people submitted times, or those that were submitted were not as fast as previous years (I mean...I'm in the upper half of Corral B. Which is nutso).

Based on my 5K bib number I'm guessing corral A or B for that one. :)

And I'm with @Keels, if the logo on the event guide is the half shirt, I will be VERY happy!

How did you figure out 5k corral?

Just did a Google image search for recent 5K bibs at Disneyland to get an idea of what the number range is for corrals consistently. Nothing real scientific. But who knows how rD assigns 5K bibs, since I just registered through a TA like two weeks ago.

@Ariel484 -- Seriously! Like, the logo is SO perfect. I want all the things with that on it!

I am in C for the half! Holy crap. I went to take a nap after coming back from riding and came back to this.

To those in the back corrals particularly D because that looks like the over done pace time this year. Good luck. I was in H and that grouping last year not fun.

I think my BF was in that group last year. His corral didn't take off until about 630 I think. Maybe he was even further back. I don't remember exactly.

Yea, that logo is pretty sweet.

My 5k Bib number seems super high...hope I'm not in the back. Like you, I signed up with a TA.

He more then likely was further back in probably J with that time. I started at the front of H and my Garmin has my start time recorded as 6:03. So if it took ~10 minutes to empty the big corrals. Then he would have started about 6:30 I'm guessing.

Waiver what? Where do i download the waiver? I found my bib number but where's the corral listing? On the actual runDisney site?

At last year's Disneyland Half Marathon, they wound up letting Corrals A and B start off together; C and D, etc. Not too surprised by the larger corral sizes since they did it this way for the Star Wars Half earlier this year too. Plus, it makes it sound so much cooler to say that your letter is higher up than you expected. My proof of time would have put me in Corral E last year. This year, I'm in Corral B.

Found it!!!I thought there would be an email or something saying that all that stuff was ready for viewing, nope!

Guys, they added more park time for the half.

I was looking at the map and thought it looked a bit different then normal so I pulled up one of the old maps. We enter property a good half mile earlier and were getting more back stage time at Disneyland. We're still exiting at mile 4. But they managed to alter the course just enough for more park time.

I don't get the deal with the shoes. Do you collect them and put them on a shelf? Or do you actually run in them? Why do people go so ebay crazy over something that is going to wear out in a few months?

Also, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the logo on the event guide cover! If that's the shirt logo too, I will be so thrilled!

Me too, I love it!

I was just thinking the same thing! Are they even going to have a new shoe?

I hope so (but my wallet doesn't).
I heard at Tink that they were doing one and it was going to be colorful unlike the Steamboat Mickey ones. Now whether or not they actually do it is another thing. :goodvibes

I wasn't into them until the Tink ones this Jan and it'll probably be my only pair. I love anything neon in shoes and they glow in the dark so I got a pair. I don't run in them, but where them instead of running shoes if I'm out, and around the parks. But a lot of people where them for running. I think people go crazy for them b/c they're Disney and the only place you can get them is at the expo or ebay so it drives up the demand.

So, this is how things happen in my house:

Me: Babe! What flights are you on to California?
Husband: Oh. Guess I better book those.
Me: (thinking - OH GOD. HOW MUCH ROOM IS ON THE CREDIT CARD FOR THIS MILLION-DOLLAR TICKET.)

Sure enough - once again, DH's (Dummy Husband's) procrastination pays off. Roundtrip to LAX from DFW? $141.00.

STOP! This never happens to me.
