You do not need to have a Facebook account to view the merchandise. Just go to facebook.com/rundisney then click on the Walt Disney World marathon in upcoming events and you will find pictures of the items there. Is there place to view the merchandise for those of us that are not on Facebook
Is everyone planning on their last big run this weekend? If the weather cooperates I'm looking to do 20. Or 18. Not whichever comes first. It also depends on how many of the 19 dogs on my road are out and feel like chasing me that day!! I've got pepper spray but thankfully have never had to use it. The hay is almost in the barn!!![]()

I'd rest or do a short run.Question to you all: Do you recommend running if you have a low fever? It looks like whatever I picked up incubated yesterday and now I have a low fever (100.5) in addition to cough/stuffy head and slight general feeling of malaise (not at "need to be in bed" levels). I'm going to the doc today in case it's the flu starting up (it's going rampant at the girl's school). I was going to do 14 miles this weekend. Would you personally advice doing it, skipping, or do a very short run (maybe 5-8 miles) instead? Thank you!

I'm doing the Hal Higdon Intermediate 2 plan. Anyone else on that plan?
This being my first marathon - but having a running background going back decades - I wasn't sure which plan to pick. The novice plans didn't seem challenging enough but I'm sure I wasn't ready for an advanced plan. It's turned out this intermediate plan seems to be about right, challenging without pushing me to the point of injury.
Although I am not using Hal's program this time around, I have followed the Intermediate 2 in the past. Like you, I thought the novice plans seemed too easy and the advanced too difficult, but the Intermediate was..., well, just right. It's a good, very manageable plan. The key, and I'm sure this is no big revelation, is to just follow it. I had tried it twice at Disney and ran nearly 5 hour marathons (2007 and 2009), but hadn't done a good job with the weekday runs in training. In 2012 I was determined I would follow the program to a "T" and - in a rare case where I am truly motivated - ran a 4:05 that surprised me (and probably anyone else who watches me run).
Since then I've done me some Hanson and Pfitzinger plans and lowered my PR to slightly below 4:00, but the most enjoyable marathon I've ever run remains that 2012 effort where I followed Higdon's Intermediate 2 to a "T." Take that for what it's worth. (I'm not sure what hodge-podge plan I'm attempting to follow this year. It's turned into oatmeal. Maybe a HanPfitHig combo?)
At any rate, I'm sure you'll be very well prepared and have a fabulous race. I wish you the best of luck!
