Official 2014 Tinker Bell Half Marathon

Does the Tink course follow the same path as the DL 1/2 this past weekend ? The only part of the course that bothered me Sunday was right after the Honda center we were routed down a gravel dirt path towards Anaheim stadium...the dust was not fun for this asthma girl !

Nope! No dusty path during the Tink Half.

Different course, personally I enjoy the Tink course more than the DL. Did you register for Tink??

I agree. Other than Angels Stadium, I like the outside the park part of Tink better.

I just like the Tink 1/2 so much more than the DL 1/2. The last two years the weather has just been perfect. Hope I don't jinx it for next year.

Sadly no... waited too long and the registration was closed. Will have to try next year since it is a different course than the half. Will just lurk on the thread and wait...

have you checked with Gettravel.com? I was able to sign up for the 10 k today and it looked like they had half marathon spots as well. You just have to buy a park ticket to go with it.

I have 2 questions:

First - One of my running buddies that registered with my group was afraid she wouldn't be ready for the half and signed up for the 10K not realizing it was on a different day! On the email I received yesterday from Get travel, it said they had spots for the half available. If she signs up for the half through them, is there any way to get her money back on the 10K or does she just forfeit it?


Second - How many parks are there and what is the difference between the parks? We want to do the 2 day park hopper but don't know what we will be hopping around to!!! (We have only been to Disney world, first time to Disneyland for all of us)

I don't believe there is any way to get her money back on the 10k. I'm sure shed be able to find someone to sell her bib to.

Disneyland resort in CA has 2 parks: Disneyland and California Adventure. Its very easy to hop back and forth btwn parks as their entrance s are prob only 100 yards or so apart. DL has all the classic rides and lands. Fantadmic and fireworks. California Adv is where you'll find Cars Land, the paradise pier area with California Screamin and Toy Story Midway Mania. World of color show at night. Hollywood backlot area is where you'll find tower of terror, animation academy building. Bugs land for kiddie rides. Soaring over CA. Grizzly River Run...

Hmmm now that DD is doing the kids race and I'm doing the 10K too I'm seriously considering spending the extra $ and staying onsite. It might be worth it this time.
