You guys actually got an email from them finally!?!

in the last 2 years i've gotten a total of TWO...and those were the 2 recent ones about not missing my chance at a free Redbook subscription because I ran Tink or something like that. I guess they can get those to me, but not the ones with important race info and links for the races I'm running!

Same for me, only the Redbook offer a couple of weeks ago and then this week. I sent an email to runDisney trying to figure it out. They said at some point I must have opted out of something from ABC, ESPN or some Disney related email. I can't figure out why I still receive emails from Disney Destinations, Disney Insider, Disney Vacation Club.......etc.....

I asked if they could "reset" my email. They said no but they could enter a new email address. I didn't get a clear answer if that would change all of my other logins (DVC, AP, etc) so I was reluctant to change, especially since I get information faster from the DISboards

I tried giving them a "new email". It worked on only selected email....still NOTHING from RD regarding "important" race final instruction emails etc. So I have to always rely on the kindness of other Disers. Thanks Kim

If there is not a "challenge" I might pass on the 10K.....but if there is a "official challenge" I'm up for it.

We're doing a last min. trip to the park for 4th of July. I know...it's crazy and we're only going to 2 nights and it wasn't even my idea (husband) this time. I really think it's going to be crazy but very patriotic.

How's NY training going ??

Ok I've officially decided that I'm only doing the 10K if theres a challenge. If theres not then it makes more sense for me to save my legs for the half!

If Im not doing the 10K I think I'll sign DD6 up for the kids race. I think she'd have fun with it!

Your daughter will have fun at the kids race. Our DS loves running in them.

How fun!!! I bet the fireworks show will be awesome. I was really surprised last night ~ I was looking at wait times and aside from Cars and Splash, the lines didn't seem that bad at all.

NY's going well, thanks! Nice part is that I'm only in the 2nd week so it's not too bad yet and Sun's long run is only 8. I think my 1st "big" runs are the 2 weeks before DL. DDD will actually be my 3rd week light run weekend.

Ok costume ladies...tell me how you do it. How do you come up with your costumes? Do you start with an idea first and then scour the internet for pieces or do you work off of a piece you love or have?

I figure out what I want to do then theme it out w/ running clothes. I'd check out pinterest if you're looking for ideas and etsy and Michael's for supplies. For the 10k in Sept, I'm doing LSU b/c college football starts that day. I have a yellow tech shirt and found a girl on etsy to design a football mickey iron on to go w/ purple & yellow shorts. For the 1/2 I'm doing Cinderella and same thing w/ the shirt ~ iron on for the shirt and jeweled it up w/ scrapbook stickers. For Tink this year, I wore my raw threads Hook shirt and stuck a feather in my running hat and had a cheap hook from the Halloween store. But definitely check out etsy if you need supplies, a lot of people sell iron-ons so you can still do a tech shirt, there are tutus for characters, and I think even some running costumes.

For Tink next year, I'm thinking Vanellope so it's still green like Tink, just a different shade. But she's pretty simple ~ a green shirt and red pipe cleaner things w/ candy on my running hat.

I think by limited they mean they've set a certain number of slots for per-registration and will leave it open until those slots sell out.

What in the world am I doing wrong I "liked" the FB page, I checked get notifications and when I look at the FB page I don't see any announcements, posts, etc. except for the "official" random pics like why do yo run or whatever.

I must be FB challenged. Any ideas?

I saw it in my phone FB, but not my computer FB. I had to go to there FB page.
I still can't find the info on active.com that longhorns2 has posted.

I didn't see the announcement on RunDisney, but on the DL Annual Passholders page on Facebook, if that helps. And the "click here for more details" link would never load. I'll probably just come here on that day and hope someone posts the link. I'm an AP, but I can never figure out how to get to it from the AP website.
