I went out to run 9 on Saturday but made the mistake of going out shortly AFTER I went to a BBQ. Only made it 5 miles.
On Sunday I volunteered at a race and I have to say it was a eye opening experience. I have to say that some runners are downright rude.
I had water thrown at me because it was not Gatorade. The race director published that there would be water and NUNN. Sorry you didn't read the material and bring your own Gatorade. Had runners yell because we did not hand the water to them. We held it so they could scoop the cups out of our hands on the run or fast walk. But we did have many that thanked us and that made it worth it.
I also have to say that while 40-45 degrees may be good to run a half marathon in it is downright cold to be standing there handing out water. My hands were frozen in a claw like hold and there were times I could not feel my fingers. I am ready for some warmer weather.
