As a post race food, humus is kind of a good food. Carbs, protein and good fats. Though saying that, I am with you on the box... I would rather be able to drop my post race drink in a checked bag as in the past... no longer an acceptable item in the checked bag.
oh, see, i'm not saying it's not good for you. i'm just saying it's not my cup of tea for a post-race snack. like i said i wanted a muffin so clearly health isn't my first thought after a race!

no drinks anymore in checked bag? i may try to sneak one of those shelf stable chocolate milks in there anyway.
the boxes that the resorts have before the races are pretty good. a bagel with some peanut butter, water, banana, granola bar. usually before the race most any food goes down like razor blades so i usually have some left over for after the race in my checked bag.
