Official 2013 MVMCP Information

I was at last night's party (11/14) and all the pins were available. The had an entire kiosk display full of all of the snow globe options. I got the Mickey/Minnie one and DS got the Chip/Dale one. They also had the Passholder Grumpy pin available and the more expensive options. There was no mention of anything being sold out by any worker there.:confused3

Thank for the update. This is reassuring. Maybe the CM's mentioned previously weren't well informed. I'm hoping that either they do have allotments for each party or they were able to restock. Really hoping they still have some for the 3rd!

We couldn't resist attending another Christmas Party so purchased tickets for last night (Thursday).

How wonderful to attend another Party!

By chance, have you been by Sleepy Hollow to note what kind of special/seasonal waffles they are serving? There have been rumors of gingerbread waffles but no confirmation yet.

Is it worth it to take a 2 year old to the party from 6-9? I know we can't stay the entire time so I am trying to figure out if it would be worthwhile...

Well, it is to us. We think the castle show and parade and fireworks make it worth it, and we will probably spend any extra time riding DD's favorites over and over. If she takes a nap, we can make it pretty late... Like until after the second parade. If she doesn't fall asleep at naptime, we will have to see. Sooooo hoping for a good nap that day.

Since the shirts are available online right now, I'm wondering if I should just buy one there so I'd definitely get one. I'd rather wait because I'd like to wear it while I'm there, and online is saying 6-8 weeks :confused3

We were there at the second Christmas party and they were still offering the pumpkin waffles. We are at MK tonight so I'll see if i can find out anything.

If you only stay until 9:00, you miss the Celebrate the Magic - Castle projection show and the fireworks.

You can enter at 4:00 but between 6-9, you'll see the Castle lighting show, Celebrate the Season OR Totally Tomorrowland Christmas and the 8:15 parade. That is a lot to pay for very little of the party.

That is kind of what I was thinking. We are getting up early the next day for out only full day at the park and I want her rested. Thanks for the comment!

Definitely much better to have her rested for the next day.

On a regular park day, you will still see the Castle Lighting, Celebrate the Magic, and the regular Wishes fireworks show. Be sure to watch the 3:00 Celebrate a Dream Come True parade because it ends soon. Dream Along With Mickey is the Castle stage show...you can still get similar experiences without the additional party expense.

For folks that have been this year.....what have the lines been like for Mary Poppins, Bert and the penguins. I want to see the 7 dwarves too and am.planning on getting in line at 6 for them but also wanting to see Mary. Trying to figure out the timing of all this.

I've been following this thread along for a while and it's been SO helpful!

We purchased out tickets the night we booked our trip in May! Then I went about my planning and set ADR's etc. Well in early Sept I scored my ADR for BOG on the Friday night of our trip...then a few weeks later I was able to book the Dessert party for the same night. This was/is our first day in the parks this trip and I was so looking forward to it!

THEN...after reading here, and there and everywhere I realized that the Friday night...Dec was a party night. Silly me! A quick phone call confirmed this and the fact that I'd need to either pony up for more party tickets or skip the dessert party.

Guess what I choose?

More tickets! We actually rearranged a few things and are returning our rental car a little early to cover the cost :rotfl:

So we're going twice now. And really the more reading I'm doing the better I like this plan. Our daughter is only 2 and we're night people anyways so I'm not too worried about her being up late or being able to keep her entertained.

I think thought based on my research I've got a good plan of attack and wanted to run other experts and see what people thought.

Night 1:
BOG: 4:35
Around 5:30-5:45 head to line up for the 7 Dwarf M & G. My husband and I will probably switch off waiting so we keep our daughter entertained.
After that...we'll make the rounds to see other characters, the parade and cocoa and maybe one of those nifty popcorn buckets if I can find one.
At 8:45 we're supposed to head to the Tommorowland Terrace for our party.
Afterwards, depending on my daughter we'll make more rounds for characters and maybe a ride or two.

I think the nicest thing about going with a two year old is that she has no level of expectation so if something is too long of a wait we'll move on!

Night 2:
We've got a breakfast ADR at Crystal Palace and will spend some time in the parks that morning, then a really light lunch at the GF Cafe (more to check out the decorations and gingerbread than to eat as we're having a giant breakfast). Then back to the hotel for a nice long rest.
Since we got our characters and parade viewing in the night before we'll go ahead and plan to arrive around 6pm I think. And take it from there. My husband and I would like to focus on rides and also go to the dance party with my daughter. I'd like to catch the parade at least once this night too.
I'm planning on watching Wishes this night from Fantasyland for something different. Plan B, if it looks like she's a little short on patience will be watching Wishes from the train station so a quick exit can be made.

I know it seems like a waste to go to the parks for such a short time the morning of a party we have tickets to, but we're on the military tickets and our departure day is the only other day we'd be able to use the ticket-but we've got off site plans that day since it's a partial day in Orlando anyways.

I actually just went through our itinerary for the party because we haven't been through it in awhile and some characters have changed spots or aren't appearing this year. So I had to change up our itinerary.

Is it possible to ride Splash Mountain, Big Thunder, & meet the Country Bears between about 5:30-7 and then have 2 hours to do 3 rides in Fantasyland, meet Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Scrooge, & the Pooh gang plus do a few rides in Tomorrowland? :confused3

I'm just not sure how to estimate the ride lines and character meet lines.
