Official 2013 MVMCP Information

These "tips" about 2nd parade and frontier land have been long standing. I keep fearing that my "secret spot" will be packed after seeing everyone point it out prior to arrival. This will be our 6th consecutive year of attending MVMCP... And all the years past, rest assured it was still an awesome spot/time to watch. Truth is, the second parade is often way too late for families... And people want to pack themselves in to watch the parade on Main Street,,, we talk about it a lot here, but many aren't as "in the know" when they head off to WDW!

Well only because I'm more in the know than I was in the past years as the internet is making it easier to be in the know.....is why I ask.
I do hope you are able to get your awesome spot.

If we're not going to the same party, do you mind sharing where? LOL

:rotfl2: Was thinking the same thing.

I think it will continue to be a good time to see the parade just as the end of pm magic hours are mostly less crowded. I don't expect no people.. but anyone with small kids will likely opt for the first parade. People are exhausted after a long day/night at the parks.

I hope you are right, but with my luck I'll be sitting next to that exhausted family who doesn't care they are tired and whiney/crying/crabbing and trying to stick it out. I sure hope not.

My DD is a parade CM and is usually spot-on for knowing where the most open viewing is. After a few MVMCPs, I'll ask her if she sees any patterns on good viewing areas that aren't too crowded. In the past, she has always suggested in front of the Main Street train station.

Ooooo inside scoop. Ya please let us know. :-)
I'll try to keep watching for your post.
Although I think I'm at the second to the busiest party so what happens the few before me really won't matter.
I bought my ticket before I knew to look to see what crowd levels would be.
Oh well.

Thank you so much! Can't wait to hear back!

;) DD is "friends with Mickey!" That's why she is super excited!!

Ahhhhhhh. Well that's cool.

So are all the lines super long or mostly just the ones for the popular characters. In other words will I get inspired to have a picture taken cause the line looks reasonable? I'll have my Epcot Disney Visa picture and then Pooh and gang, oh and I believe Mary Poppins at 1900 park fare but other than that, I don't have kids with me or who will be excited to see a picture of me with characters soooooooooo

Mickey in the parade will definitely know!! And, there really is only one Mickey! ;)

Yes only one but he has amazing ability to bi-locate. :)

The Dwarves will probably have one of the longest lines. If you don't need to obtain photos with characters, then it would be best to plan your evening around your dinner, shows, and the fireworks to soak up the atmosphere. And if you see a short character line, jump in before it gets closed.

I'm also not seeing the Tremaine's, just Cinderella & her prince. I hope that's not true!

It had been rumored the Tremaines would not be at the party, and Kenny confirmed the rumor was true. They are at MK in the mornings.

Big Al?

Very disappointing. That means no more big group photo.
The character list for the party looks like a snoozer - I was hoping we might get the NBC characters or even Frozen since it will be the new hot movie (and hello, winter themeing).
At least now I feel content doing just one party and not two. We won't need much time for characters.

I agree the character lineup is disappointing, been the last few years and reconsidering given the price. The Halloween party just seems to offer more and we had another great time this year.

This is our plan. As cool as it would be to get some of those pictures, I just don't want to spend a lot of party time in line. And DH and DD2 would have even less patience for it. I think DD would get more out of dance party interactions anyway. So I'm planning around castle show, parade, fireworks, and dance parties. If we can hop n a short character line, that will be great. And we might spend some time doing DD's favorite rides too.

I hope DD takes a nap so we can stay out late! I'm planning a very chill day other than the party.

Hi guys, Does anybody know if it would be possible if arriving at 4 to get my sons to Adventureland in time for the last Pirate Tutorial of the day? I read somewhere it is at 4:25. Is it worth the rush? Also, is the Sorcerer game and the Pirate Adventure game running during the party? Want to try them out.

Also, big Ariel fan wants to see Little Mermaid, but I think Belle's Enchanted Tales looks cool, and Merida too, which one should we rush to first? Thinking of doing Fantasyland during first parade to avoid crowds and seeing second parade, however did this at MNSSHP last year and my youngest fell asleep in stroller and missed the entire parade, SOOO I'm confused about what my best plan should be for seeing the parade and the new Fantasyland/princesses/characters. :confused3 Any advice?
