So if I want to avoid Main Street, will I miss anything major? And would frontier land be the next best place?
If you watch the parade in Frontierland, how soon do you need to find a spot?

Perfect, thanks for the info! And I am very sure this has been asked before but...the parades are at what time? We're going 11/21.
These "tips" about 2nd parade and frontier land have been long standing. I keep fearing that my "secret spot" will be packed after seeing everyone point it out prior to arrival. This will be our 6th consecutive year of attending MVMCP... And all the years past, rest assured it was still an awesome spot/time to watch. Truth is, the second parade is often way too late for families... And people want to pack themselves in to watch the parade on Main Street,,, we talk about it a lot here, but many aren't as "in the know" when they head off to WDW!I'm curious to how much boards and websites that we all get our info from is accessed and changes the information. For example, just how many people will end up at Frontierland and how many will be at the second parade instead of the first.Either way I'm sure it will be a fun experience.

My DD is a parade CM and is usually spot-on for knowing where the most open viewing is. After a few MVMCPs, I'll ask her if she sees any patterns on good viewing areas that aren't too crowded. In the past, she has always suggested in front of the Main Street train station.
