Official 2013 MNSSHP Guest List Thread

Hi all!

We're staying at WL, and attending MNSSHP on 10/25.

My question is this: do the boats that run from MK to WL do so on MNSSHP nights too? Until midnight? Or will we have to take the bus from MK to WL? I rather fancy a midnight boat ride.

Yes, we stayed at the GF and took a boat back from MVMCP around midnight. They were running to the WL as well. I am assuming MNSSHP will be the same.

Ordered the boys' costumes from disneystore.com. Ordered the adults' costumes from officialdisneycostumes.com. They had the biggest selection, and the best prices.

Yes, we stayed at the GF and took a boat back from MVMCP around midnight. They were running to the WL as well. I am assuming MNSSHP will be the same.

So I've already posted this question on the official MNSSHP thread, but it's SUPER busy, so I feel like my question got lost. So I figured I'd post it on this thread too. I'm going as Merida, so obviously I have to have a bow. Rather than the small one they sell at the parks I want one I can actually wear. I found an old one in my grandpa's garage that I'm going to try to completely redo to look like merida's. I also found some old arrows without heads. I plan on cutting them down so it's basically just the feathered end, and gluing them into the sheath they sell at the parks. So it'll just be the ends, and they'll be glued down so they won't even come out. Do you think they'll count that as a weapon??? The bow, after I'm finished with it, most likely won't even be functional and the arrows won't even be intact. Do you think I'll have problems??

Good question. DD is also going as Merida. We use to do archery a lot so I was thinking arrows without tips, but haven't decided. I like your idea of gluing them in. I'm eager to see what other people think.

We will be at the Sept 29th party, the dh and I are HM ballroom dancers, inlaws are zombies (Hmm, I might amp that up to zombie tourists, that just hit me!), and dd wants to be a zombie cop. . Can't wait.

Does anyone know what time Tom Sawyer Island closes on party nights? I can't remember. I know it isn't open during the party. I just don't know if it closes at 7:00, or 5:00 or whenever.

The website just says dusk, so whenever it starts getting dark I guess.

Update! Update! If you're working on Halloween costumes in August, you're either going to MNSSHP or Halloween obsessed. Or both, as is our case.

We are still going to the 10/6 MNSSHP. We are also sailing on the 10/10 Disney Dream sailing, which will have special Halloween events. So we are bringing two costumes each, and will decide which ones to wear based on how the weather is. I have a feeling we'll go with Belle and Wreck-It Ralph at MNSSHP and Alice and Hatter on the cruise, because I have a feeling it'll be too hot for me, especailly, at MNSSHP in the Hatter costume. We'll play it by ear though.

Oh yeah, and we finally got all of our parts together this weekend. Pictures!

This is my first post on the site and will be our first MNSSHP! We will be attending on 09/17/13 with 4 adults and 3 kids. Myself and DH are undecided, MIL will be Jasmine, Aunt-Babette from Beauty and the Beast, DD (13) Hipster Ariel, DD's best friend (12) Hipster Snow White and youngest DD (9) will be Belle.
