Official 2013 Disneyland Dumbo Double Dare, Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k Thread!

For those who have run goofy... How do they know to give you 2 medals after the half? Do you wear a wrist band like c2c? What's to stop a person from wearing it even if they didn't do the 10k if that is the case?

Still in the waiting phase for plane tickets. No change in the price so I am in no hurry to fork out $1400. That's gonna hurt!!

Right now my RT airfare is $345 via LAX or $560 via SNA. I would MUCH MUCH MUCH rather fly in and out of SNA, but not for nearly double the price.

I just have to buy my park tickets. Everything else is done.

I am still a little up in the air on number of days in the park, but heavily leaning towards 3 days. We are flying in on Thursday but will be exhausted from the trans-continental flight and I just don't see us going into a park. Then we are flying out early on Monday, so that leaves Friday-Sunday for parks. How upgradable are the tickets at DLR? Can you add days like at WDW if we do decide to pop in on Thursday? I think the difference in price is only $25 or so, but that does add up and equals an entire TS meal for my family. That is not chump change.

That was my problem. Love SNA, hate the price. We will have to fly LAX, can't do the price for 4 to SNA. Such a bummer!

At WDW, if you're running the Goofy, you have a special bib for your races.

If you go through them, it says that they can't be upgraded after you use the 1st day. If you go through DL, you won't have a problem upgrading to another day. I would get a 3 day ticket if I were you. I'm Flying in on Friday and out Monday. I'm getting a 2 day for Sat/Sun.

That is where I am thinking too. The only other possibility is 2-day but I think the kids should be freaking out if we were right there and didn't go into the parks at least for a little bit every day. We can get away with that in FL b/c we have AP and go all the time. We won't be back to DLR for a long time!
If only a flash sale would happen for my flight I would be hooked up! Lol.

Not sure about that one. I was going to ask them before I buy it on the phone so I have the option if I want it. You mentioned you have a WDW AP, not sure the price difference b/w the 2, but would it be less if you upgrade to the Premier? That way you would you could go whenever the 4 days you're here. And w/ the Premier AP, you get 20% on merch as well as expo and I think 15% on food in the parks. Most restaurants in DTD give discounts as well, but they're only 10%.

You will lose the discount. Your upgrade fee will be the current AP price minus whatever you paid for the ticket.

I haven't seen anyone on this either ... the race was introduced with a short video of Alice and the White Rabbit. Hoping it stays in the Alice theme.
