Official 2013 Disneyland Dumbo Double Dare, Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k Thread!

In the description on the website they do talk about Alice and The Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit. I would guess they are the theme. Could be a super cute medal! Can't wait for the reveal of it, although I hope they don't do a bunch of stupid clues.

Bephus~Lol I am with you on the clues, that was, well, lame!

I heard on fb that someone met with a runDisney person at a non-runDisney race expo and was told that the 10K will have Alice and the Mad Hatter on it. The Half will be the usual "D" with new lanyard. Dumbo will be him flying with ears outstreched. No word on the 5K, speculation is the Alice in Wonderland gang.

We'll have to wait for the reveal(s) to know for sure.

Have I missed this - who or what is on the 10K medal for Disneyland? It appears as though they've announced the WDW January 10K medal as Minnie. But what's the DL one - do we know yet?

I would imagine that the 10K race is going to be Minnie regardless of where the race is held. We'll find out soon!

I honestly don't care what it is - I just want that big D for the Half! Right now I have the stupid number 5 medal from 2010. I suppose it's nice to have the anniversary medal, but it just looks dumb. So I'm happy to get the "proper" Disneyland Half medal!

Really can't wait to get the Dumbo!! I may have to display that one on my stuffed animal Dumbo on my dresser.

I thought that perhaps Alice and the Mad Hatter would be the theme for the 5K since that would make a colorful medallion. I guess we will find out around June/July.

Minnie makes sense in WDW because the other races are based on the fab 5.

In DLand, all the 10K advertising has been based on Alice/White Rabbit.

I dont see them doing Minnie at DLand. They want people to do both races and get2 different medals. Same reason they keep changing the designs of the existing races.

Does anyone think there's a chance that they could start offering a 'mini' C2C in the near future (ie a 10k on each coast)? My legs would never hold up for 2 halfs in a row (the logistics of coming from Australia would mean that I'd have to do them a week apart), but I'm desperate for a C2C medal!

Wouldn't that be great?! I'm in the US but don't have a desire for 2 halfs but would totally cross the country for an extra medal.

Sure could use a massage on my....hmmmm...backside just cause I slacked off a little since PHM it shouldn't be that bad....stretch....stretch....drink wine ! . I love the big D but the 5 medal is special to me because it was my first Disney race. I missed out on the castle medals.
