I did a bunch of googling last night and realized I had forgotten to try one thing: Gummy Bears!. I remember seeing someone mention it once, and completely forgot about it. I even see several sites where it looks like Jeff Galloway himself has recommended using Gummy Bears. I'm totally going to try that this weekend on my 8 miles.
Anyone else use gummy bears?
Thanks for the help, ladies!
Hi Princesses,
Well, any other New England Princesses with cabin fever? We've been stuck inside the house for 4 days straight (aside from shoveling) - 30.5 inches of snow followed by freezing rain prevented us from going anywhere. We're very thankful we didn't lose power this time though - phew!
anyone else nervous of doing something silly in the next two weeks (like tripping and spraining an ankle)?

Omg, yes. I made DH take our dog out tonight because the sidewalks are pure ice. He fell 2x, so I'm glad I didn't risk it.
I ran 10 miles Friday. 15 degrees, and lots of snow/ice/slush on the ground. It was slow for me at 12:53. I really had to slow for the ice and snow. I haven't run since. And I probably won't until Weds.![]()
I feel ready. I'm corral D, have the race retreat, and finally finalized my costume. I'm totally going to melt in FL. I'm crossing my fingers for a record cold day. Sorry southern ladies! I run in a tshirt at 35-40 degrees. I might die at 55-75.![]()
