Official 2012 Wine and Dine ½ Marathon Thread

Good luck getting through the rest of this week with no anxiety, bad dreams or sickness! I am so excited! I wish I were leaving tomorrow! I'm leaving Thursday morning, though.

Left calf/ankle feel very right. Hoping that calms down some.

Do any of you have any tips on how to secure Minnie ears (the headband kind) for a race?

Thanks!

I played with a couple different options yesterday for my tiara. The most secure seems to be barrettes on the sides. I don't know if your headband is too thick for barrettes but maybe some larger ones would do the trick? You can always bend them out a bit to accomodate...:confused3

I'm trying to figure out how angry my stomach will be on Saturday night if my entire lunch consist of Food & Wine snacks.

So exciting! Hope that everyone has sweet dreams, good health, quick healing, safe travels, and lots of fun!! We leave Seattle Friday morning, and will see if we make it in time for the expo. My DH has the 5k Sat morning and would love to make it in time for him to pick up his packet. Not looking good as our flight got pushed back another 15 min and we won't arrive until 515pm now. Here's hoping for a really efficient DME experience! :).

My plane lands around that time and I am optimistic about making it to the expo. I checked in online to help move the process along when I get to the resort.

These words do not exist in my vocabulary. :confused3 :rotfl2:

Mine either.

I have had the soup many times. It's my favorite food on property :)

Ooh! New WISH subject! What is everyone's fave Disney food? For the F&W it has to be the pierogies (thanks to the Polish papa). Otherwise, hmmm....I'll go with the clam chowder at Cap'n Jacks.:thumbsup2

It's a toss up between the pork tenderloin dinner at Cali grill and main street bakery fudge. And rosa Regale. And anything at La Cava.... :rotfl:

Please help me! One of my good friends is running in this half marathon and I really need a finish line party ticket! They are sold out now... I had asked a Disney employee months ago if my annual pass would work for the Epcot Wine & Dine finish line party and they said, "yes of course! But food and wine is an additional cost." makes sense, I was fine with that answer. So this morning I'm talking to my friend who is running and she asked if I bought my ticket and I told her what the Disney employee had said, and my friend said she thinks that I need to call and ask again because she doesn't think that's accurate. So, of course, I do a little research and she's right; my annual pass is no good for the finish line party. :sad2:

What am I going to do? My friend who is running will be all alone. That's awful, I feel horrible that I didn't know this sooner! The only thing I can think of is that the Disney employee that I asked must have thought I was talking about the Epcot Food & Wine festival!

Does anyone have a ticket they would sell to me? Or is that even feasible? Is there someone at Disney that I could contact and beg and plead with? I would even sign up as a runner if I had to, but that is sold out as well.

I'm so sad!

There is a HUGE waiting list of people in your position. I would suggest that you maybe post on the Run Disney FB page that you are looking for a ticket. Something might come through.

...and the chocolate chip muffins at Boardwalk Bakery. And the cookies and cream ice cream at Seashore Sweets. And the triple Cheese Flatbread at CA Grill. And the pretzels in Germany...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Geesh!! Now I'm hungry...popcorn:: hahahahaha....

Thanks a million for this suggestion! I have tried everything; ebay, craigslist, etc, so the Run Disney facebook page is a fantastic suggestion. I just posted there, hopefully somebody will be kind enough to help me out. :) Thanks again!

Oh my gosh, I don't think there is an end to this list

Zebra domes from Boma
African stew from the Mara
Beef empanada from Argentina (F&WF)
Fish & chips from UK
Empanadas de queso from Mexico
Pork tenderloin in mole dinner at La Hacienda
Dole Whip
Caprese sandwich from Earl of Sandwich
Cheddar cheese soup & pretzel bread from Le Cellier

I know I am missing several things... lol
