I finally had time to call and change my reservation -- I'm at All-Star Movies now! popcorn::

I'm fairly confident that without a fake football field outside my door, there won't be cheerleaders practicing this year -- but you never know :rotfl:

I wanted to try something a little different. Sports was my first value last year and it was fine for just me, but I'm hoping Movies will have more of a "Disney" feel :lovestruc

Yay! I was able to get Beach Club Villas using my DVC points today for the Princess marathon weekend. I am very excited :)

I jogged/walked 10 miles on Saturday and still can't really walk well today. I did the 10 miles at around 2 hours and 20 minutes which is right at 14 minutes per mile. 12 days to go before the Wine & Dine half....

Movies is my favorite All-Star, and definitely feels more Disney to me. We've only ever run into the cheer groups during spring break time, so hopefully for your sake they aren't visiting at the same time!

The Halloween 5k will be my first run disney event. I will get an idea of what to expect for Princess.

Have fun! Just remember that Princess will be a bigger party than the 5k. When my mom and I did the Royal Family 5k this year we had so much fun, but once we showed up for the 1/2 the next morning we were excited to see that the level of excitement was bumped up several notches. Enjoy the 5k, and don't be afraid to stop for pictures! The characters look really cute in their Halloween costumes!

Speaking of deals - does ANYONE know the WISH discount code for running warehouse .com

Thanks princesses!

Princesses, I missed my run yesterday because I have a GI bug. I'm so weak and dehydrated. I guess I'll try to pick back up on Thursday. I hope I'm better by then. I really can't afford the set back. :(

Don't get down! Try to enjoy the rest (minus the GI issues!). You might surprise yourself when you get back out there. I missed about a week of training last year too because I was sick and my first run back I felt great and it was one of my best times at that time. Sometimes your body could really use the rest and a little time to repair itself...don't push it and get back out there too early though. Feel better!

Hope everyone is doing well. We just got back from a little family beach trip to Hilton Head. I was so excited about running there with all the bike paths. Well on thursday when we got there I run my big toe into this huge wood hamper that held the beach towels at the pool. I broke half my toenail off. I now know why the movies use pulling off bad guys toenails as a torture thing. It HURTS SO BAD!!! I"m going to try to run tomorrow morning but I don't know how it's going to go. :(

My lower back has been bothering me lately - seems to get worse as I add the miles to my long runs ... anyone else have lower back aches? I've been using BioFreeze and that helps, but it's a constant reminder that I am getting older ... annoying but not enough to keep me from running.

Thanks!

Great deal today on iFitness belts from Active.com Swaggle deal of the day....
$10 gets you $20 worth of merchandise. You pay shipping, for details...

I have a spibelt, but am mulling over this deal. I am also assuming if you wanted say a double that is $26, you pay the extra....again, see the link for details.

I got an Ifitness belt for my birthday. To be honest, I'm not thrilled with it. It kept riding up my chest and I only had my phone and a few cards in it and it was bouncing everywhere...the two things it says it doesn't do. :(

Condo gym is back open, after a 5 week paint job and floor replacement:confused3, we get 30 min slots on a treadmill.

So, 0:27 (3 min cool down) 1.89 miles, 15:10 pace :woohoo:. I think I am going to use the treadmill days to push my pace and the long runs to build distance. It felt so good to be pushing it tonight.

Good job girl

So much to catch-up on - I am still trying to figure out if I will be able to do the princess but all of you are so inspiring. My longest run/walk is 3.8 miles and I am using a Galloway interval app on my iphone. I usually run/walk at 20 second run and 40 second walk but I couldn't complete the 3.8 miles at that pace and had to change to 15 second run 45 second walk - so I am still wondering if I can keep to the pace. My plan is to keep trying.

On another subject way back in the thread there was discussion of listening to broadway show tunes - I would love some suggestions as my app requires the songs to be at least 130 bpm - any suggestions welcome.

Good luck to everyone with this week runs.

Martha

When I started, I was running 10 sec, walking 50 sec. Progressively I moved that up. Currently I've been stuck at 30 sec/30 sec but felt tonight that I could increase that. Maybe only to 35 sec/25 sec at first to see how that goes, then bump it up from there. I run 40 mins each on Tuesdays and Thursdays, making Saturday my long run day. I started my long run at 3 miles, and each week add either a 1/2 or full mile to it. This weekend I will be up to 7 miles. You can do it!

On my cool down walk home tonight, anyone outside could hear me sing "The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow"! I LOVE singing! :rolleyes1

I was not fashion coordinated tonight, but I was sporting some new purple leg compression sleeves I picked up at a nice run store in Orlando last weekend while on vacation. They suggested either running in them or wearing them after a run to help with recovery or even sleeping in them. I ran in them and didn't even get a cramp at all from my calves. The purple will match my princess outfit, and also deter my DH from wanting to use them...I :lovestruc him, but I don't need him stretching out my goods!

What was the name of the running shop, heading down to Orlando in a couple of weeks.

I ran 4.5 miles today at about a 13 mm. That's my farthest distance yet. I'm pretty happy with the pace.
