Official 2012 Princess 1/2 marathon thread part 2

Heather, love your outfit! I saw the Tutus in our Target earlier this week. I'm doing Cinderella, if only they had blue. But I have my Sparkle Skirt. Now I just need to find a light blue shir to match.

Not a light blue shirt, but one that would go with cinderella. I found this website last night while I was costume planning! I think I remember someone posting the link before, but it's worth the repost. There are also super cute fairy shirts!

Anyone doing the family 5k run, the kids races and the princess half-marathon run? Is this overkill? :rotfl:

my DD and I are running the family 5k and I am running the half.

I thought the 5k would be a fun way to warm up with my daughter.

You all keep talking about the time you submitted....but what did you put as your anticipated finish time? Just wondering if that makes a difference?

I put 2:40 as projected finish based on my 10k time. 5254 is my bib....wahoo cannot wait! Working on costume during the game tomorrow.

Luckily there a few around me, but they don't have as much of a selection in shoes as they are all small businesses and probably charge similar prices. I've been spending so much on my costume I wasn't paying attention to my feet! :lmao:

LoL. I was so thankful I got my shoe situation worked out in time for Tink because I was having some issues. I'll be wearing the same ones for the Princess.
But costumes are more fun to plan ;)

Thanks for posting it! I hadn't seen the site before and I was wondering where everyone got the Pixie tanks they were wearing at Tink last weekend.

I can't remember what I put as my finish time. I though it was between 2:30 and 2:40 but now I am thinking maybe I put something else. LoL
I have to work tomorrow but I definitely need to get on my costume this week.
This is what I did for Tink.

I plan to do something similar for the Princess. I have a white tech shirt and I ordered a rhinestone transfer that says princess and has a tiara and slipper on it. Then I have white arm warmers for my white gloves and I am making another petti-skirt, this one light green with ivory trim. I'm trying to decide what I am going to do for my bottoms. Either my black bermuda length compression short, capris or I may make a nude pair out of swim suit lining.

I know it's been posted on here a thousand times, but what is the WISH code for runningwarehouse.com? Thanks.

Got 7 miles in today. It felt pretty good. Only reason I didn't go more was because it got warmer quicker than I expected, and I also got out late. It's kind of sad that I'm already thinking about adjusting when I run due to the eat and it's we've only just entered February.

stitchfan...I knew you wouldn't disappoint us!! Awesome costume! Congrats on your Goofy if I didn't say so already! You are truly an inspiration!

Well, I tried to get out first thing this morning for a short (5 mi) walk with short running spurts as I felt up to it...that was my intent. Unfortunately my hip pain is so bad I can barely walk without a limp. Walked for 1.8 miles. Was unable to break into a run. I have a PT coming over this afternoon to examine my hip. I Hope that she has a diagnosis just so I can start to treat the pain and whatever else is going on. So depressed about this last min injury. Really thought that after recovering from runners knee that I would sail through the rest of my training. Naive new runner...

Can I ask you, where did you get your rhinestone transfers from? I'm looking for a princess minnie one. Your outfit is ADORABLE!!!!

Thanks for the waiver link!

FWIW, I got a bib in the 3000's and had registered with a projected finish of 2:46 since I had no race time. I finally submitted my 10K with a 1:10 finish just a few months ago.

It feels more real with a bib number now!!!

I am loving seeing everyone's running outfits!
I made a tutu this weekend and I am really happy with how it turned out! I need to find some shorts or tights with pockets to got with it. I ordered a Wish headband from Heather and I have a Wish necklace that I made last year and a bracelet.

The pink has glitter in it and the green is shimmery. The pictures might look big at first--sorry--but I did resize them.:goodvibes

Wow! I like it. Your plan for the Princess sounds really awesome.

Actually, all of you guys posting costumes/run outfits are doing great jobs. Rose&Mike your tutu is so pretty. :) I am going simple though. Just a sparkle skirt and shirt for me. princess:

Thanks! Considering I'm really not crafty, I'm pleased with how it came together. Thanks for the congrats on Goofy, it was such a fun time. I would definitely only be able to do that at Disney!

I hope the diagnosis is good and you'll have time to recover before princess!

I've never used them before, but I did see some princess and tiara rhinestone transfers at Michaels.

Love your tutu! I was going to attempt a no sew tutu, but when I priced out the cost of materials it was cheaper for me to buy one. I'm sure everyone and their dog will have the target tutu's though, love that yours will be unique! P.S. your bondiband is in the mail!

Katharine & Jessica here (kmchisholm and friend) - I reported a 10K time of 1:14 and Jessica did a half of 2:43 and we're 5266 and 5276......under 3 weeks which is 1 more long run for me, then a short one then Disney!!
