got back to training today......did an hour on the treadmill.....25 minute run, 5 minute walk, 25 minute run, 5 minute walk. what amazed me so much, rather annoyingly, was that my pace today was 11 minute mile.....which was my average for the disasterous 5k last weekend, which i finished in 34:56. when i started my 2nd running session, I was barely a 2 miles!! it seemed like i was slower, despite running the whole time. obviously i need to work on pacing myself better during the big events.
Your pace on a treadmill will only be what speed the treadmill is set on. What is you running speed? what is your walking speed?
BTW a 34:56 5K isn't "disasterous."
