Ok, we keep the Lime Green. Aside from Tmz who responded in the WISH gear thread, anyone else want to join the W&D WISH shirt wagon? I promise it will be a nice running shirt and not just some cotton, ill-fitting tee.
Thanks, coach, for the advice. I didn't really think about how muscle is protein and I don't like the idea of losing some of it because I am not eating a small, post run protein meal. Going to fix that starting today.
I HAVE booked my rooms using the race discount and you are correct that they are room only, so you CAN NOT get the dining plan, but you DO get a free round of mini-golf (which I have never used) and it is like a regular ressie in the sense that you have to pay $200 now and then rest 60 days (or is it 45 days?) before arrival.
I can only offer my experience with the savings - we have a party of 6 staying for 3 nights and originally were doing a junior suite at Coronado Springs for the total price of about $1300. We instead booked two rooms at Port Orleans French Quarter (requested connecting, and did party of 4 and party of 2 - for party of 4 its $20 extra per night for the 2 additional adults), for a grand total of about $900. Not sure if this will help anyone else but that was my experience. We all are also each getting 2 day tickets via the race discount, which was a savings of $100 PER PERSON. Since the after party tickets are only $50ish each and I am already going as part of my registration fee, it all seems like a good deal. We are NOT doing the MVMCP on Friday night though, as much as I think it would be fun, because we're all 6 continuing on to a 7 day cruise after my race and we're trying not to break the bank within the first three days of the trip.
ANYWAY... 106 days away translates into just about 50 (if I'm good) runs between now and race day, which further translates into probably 25 visits to the Ballys treadmill, 10 loops on my Springwater trail, and 15 loops around my mountain. ACK!
It seems close when I think about it like that.
