I only got 9.5 miles in yesterday. I was running a new route where I knew there were water fountains, so I only filled my handheld bottle up 1/2way. Got to mile 5, took my GU and drank the half bottle, then went to fill up and found out that they turn the water off during winter!!!!
So, I finished another 4.5 miles slightly dehydrated, but otherwise okay. Better dehydrated than overhydrated right? I just hate filling the handheld all the way because it makes my shoulder hurt after a while.
On another note, I finished my tutu! I already posted this in the outfit thread, but I'll put it here too. As for my top, I'll either wear a long sleeve tech shirt or a singlet (black).

I ran it on an indoor running track. Sure beats running my LR on my treadmill. 

of shin splints. I was getting them when I first started training last summer. On Friday night, I hit 2 miles and had to stop. I skipped my lr on Sunday. I have done heat, Epsom soaks, Ibuprofin and stretching. I have ordered compression sleeves for my calves to try too. Any other suggestions? I feel confident that I have the endurance cardiovascular wise and muscle wise to finish but not with this severe pain. Help!!
My poor BF was on the couch watching tv and I think really freaked for a minute because he didn't know what was wrong. Kind of felt good to get it all out and just exhale. We're almost there! 

I know this is frustrating and scary! Report back in and let us know how it's going....
